Coupe without question, its looks like a double hard driving machine and the roadsters looks gay as george michael. :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:

Simples ! :D

Also i've had 3 roadsters already and have gone off them generally for some reason???

I'd have 3604/430 sypder and thats about it

I think you have this the wrong way round. My local BMW dealer is offering a new hairdryer and a years subscription of Spa treatment days, but only with new Coupe's, not Roadsters.

If the roadster is george michael then the coupe is george michael with a gelled head!!

I'd stick with the roadster... Have a hardtop on mine at the moment - best of both worlds.

I miss the exhaust burbling with tbe hardtop on though....too quiet.

Agree with that. with the top up, the noise filtering into the cabin is nice and cultured which is great on the motorway, but for the rest of the driving and especially on good driving roads, the whole experience is second to none with the top down. :driving: i don't think i can ever go back into a hard top car again soon. i initially wanted a coupe but when i saw it parked next to a roadster with its top down, and having subsequently test driven both, i knew which one i go for.

as for life after the MR?? its difficult to say as i don;t fancy the heavy weight nature of the new Z4 even though its a good car. Boxster spyder is a worthy prospect though. (see vid)

You should always buy a car for yourself.

That said if you do ever wonder what other people think your driving.

Then the coupe looks like an ///M car, for the untrained eye the roadster could be any Z4.

Does the fuel figure drop drastically when the top is dropped for you guys in the MRs?
Around town, no noticeable difference. Out in the countryside cruising at about 100 to 110km/h with minimal overtaking and braking, on one 600km route I do quite often, I get 9.0 l/100km (31 mpg) with the roof up, 10.0 l/100km (28 mpg) with the roof and windows down and no windblocker in place.

Definitely the roadster type here. For roof-up trips (usually when raining or below freezing), we're more likely to take the 135i if the road doesn't involve many corners.
