Iberian trip 2024 - LIKELY TO BE PICTURE HEAVY

A few of us are away on a little Zed run today, car packed ferry later and the first of us started to meet up last night Two and a bit weeks exploring Spain and Portugal

Hopefully some bloody sun, good craic and amazing roads

The journey to Northern Iberia begins..overnight to Stratford on Avon…then to Portsmouth today and then the 32 hour ferry to Santander….what could possibly go wrong..?

Sorry to dampen the scene but “no tickets” doesn’t ring true to me ha I g travelled the length of Spain on minor A (equivalent) an B roads some twenty times. In that time i have received fines through the post and an immediate stop by the guardia civile and liberated of 150 euro for doing 80 mph in a 50 (equivalent). I was overtaking a lorry and a line of cars at the time. If I was a fraction more it would have been 300 euro and the car confiscated. And be warned the Spanish are less visible than our camera are.

Was that still while we were in the EU? We “may” have accidentally triggered multiple cameras, multiple times at xxx mph in the last few years and no follow up :wink:

Stratford upon Avon last night, nice 3 car run through the Cotswolds down to Portsmouth , just arrived at Port Solent and eating before the ferry .

Also a big thanks to Stuart (Bigwinn) for his phone tech support today as James Ditchy has been a bit tardy with his maintenance

Have a good trip, I've been watching Mat Armstrong on YouTube do a road trip to Monaco... don't be doing any doughnuts in car parks! (I don't mean the ones you get in Gregs the Bakers!)

Off the boat this morning, overcast but cleared up and got very bloody hot. Anyway some pictures from day one
