I want an R8

I love the new one with the DSG box (or whatever Audi call their version)

Sadly out of my range while my wallet is being regularly raided by offspring.
 
Plenty about at £50k, but I cannot imagine for the life of me why anyone would buy such a car when there are stunningly beautiful DB9's or Vantages for similar money.

Potential further cost of upkeep for the Aston's but not so much for the R8's is one reason.

S-tronic, dad has it in his A7 lovely gearbox..
 
I don't use my car that much? I have thought about going 1/2s or 1/3s with other people to get a car like that. But I don't think it would feel the same. Great cars and as said life is short if you can do it :thumbsup:

Both seem to depreciate at around £10k/year so I'd suggest that all other costs are irrelevant. Each to their own, but to my mind a DB9 oozes quality, craftsmanship and has a timeless beauty. The R8 just says "look at me, I'm enormous".

Lets hope the new box is better than the last.

I was not impressed with the old effort at all.
 
So where's the best place to rent one for the weekend?
