I sat in the 370Z today

The showroom car is it Middlehurst in St Helens but they are a big motorsport and GT-R dealer so I wouldn't expect there to be a 370Z in every dealer just yet.

Oooh, might pop in to my local one this afternoon. They are also GT-R'd-up, as it were...
 
Tun Wells Nissan were taking delivery of their first 370Z as I arrived! It looks very nice in the flesh.

Next week they have a demonstrator in (auto unfortunately) which I might try. The auto also does the blipping on downshifts apparently.

Tyres are massive 19" Rays with 275 at the back and 245 at the front. Prices are £27k basic, £30k GT Pack, £32 GT Ultimate.
 
The auto is meant to be really good, 7 speed with paddle shifts etc.

Yep the wheels, tyres and brakes looks awesome. The only thing I thought is that the back wheels seem to sit inside the arch a little, it looks like it needs a drop of 10-15mm which would sort it out.

I won't be back in St Helens for another month but hopefully when I am the test drives will be available.
 
I'd take the 370Z over the new Z4 at this point. That being said, though, I think a lot of the Nissan dealerships here are s**t. None of them are willing to let me test drive one, regardless of how nice I look / what I drive into the dealership. They certainly are losing sales if they're treating "potential" buyers like they did me.

Of course, I wasn't looking at buying... just test driving for a writeup for this forum.
 
Come to the UK. When I was looking at buying a sports coupe I narrowed it down to the 350Z or Z4. The Nissan dealer just gave me the keys and told me to bring the 350 back when I had finished!! They also offered me more for my MINI JCW S than BMW did as a trade!! If it wasn't for the stupid rear brace taking all the room in the boot/trunk, I'd have bought the 350!!
 
We have the 350z and depending on what we are carrying - we can get more in the 350Z than the M. Will be off down the dealer at the weekend to have a look - however, the leicester nissan dealer will not be getting our business, usless unhelpful bunch of ..... Really looking forward to when they bring the drop top out. The new baby porsche is looking a good alternative though, not sure when that is out though.

I actually think the loadspace in my 350Z was better than the Z4, though it obviously depends on what you are carrying. I could fit our luggage in the 350Z to drive to the airport, there's no way it will go in the Z4! I had the tonneau fitted under the strut brace, which effectively makes the rear into two separate compartments.
 
Saw one in white yesterday and it looked very tidy 8)

Really pleased they have given the shape a bit more finnesse, the 350 looked a bit lardy from some angles and the headlights were'nt to pleasing to my eyes.

From the reviews i've read it drives really well and is put together excellently. 11k less does not mean a relative drop in quality.

:thumbsup: I had a S14a 200sx Touring :) , miss that car - was a hoot to drive and taught me a lot about RWD driving dynamics :evil: :driving:

Would definately like a drive in the 370z when its available, could make a nice 1 yr old buy.

Just realised - my 200sx was an S14 too - not the earlier S13.

Yes, 24-25k for the higher spec 370z later next year sounds good.
 
I'm back in St Helens next week so will be going for another look and see if they have registered it yet, will get some pics too and maybe a test drive :driving:

I had my Micra serviced last week and the Nissan service experience was fine, not sure if I would be too happy with it if I had bought a GT-R though, but for a 370Z it was OK.

I saw a white one on the road today. Looked great.

Whilst I was at Goodwood, I realised the auto would be annoying. There's nowhere to rest your left foot.
 
Had a good look round one yesterday at the Pistonheads meet at the Nissan HQ. A LOAD of car for the money! Also a good sniff round the GTR, bit to uncouth for me. Mr Bond wouldn't be seen dead :D
 
Saw a silver 370Z parked at Brands Hatch on Sunday, looks big and chunky and not a fan of the rear styling.
 
I don't like the funny bumps in the rear bumper around the exhausts. Apart from that it looks great IMHO.
 
Autocar roadtest this week for the 370Z. Be interesting to see how it compares to the Z4 35i, I'll need to get them scanned.
