I sat in the 370Z today

Breaker, I have the Autocar road test for the auto, I will scan it and send you a copy if you PM me your email addy. I will do it on Friday as it's at home now.

Just rang a Nissan dealer that is close to my workplace. Although they are not on the Nissan performance car dealer list, they can supply me with a new 370Z, and they sound a bit keener to deal with me than the other dealership! The guy said if I call down sometime they can give me price for my Z4 there and then! He didn't know why the other dealer was dragging his heals!
That would be handy being closer! Still haven't decided yet weather to sell the Z4 though, but trading one dealer against another can't be a bad thing!
For the record, the local BMW dealer offered me £18,650 (without nav) for mine against a new car.

Looks like the tuners are getting their hands on the 370! :D

140% stiffer at the rear :o thats gotta hurt....

Actually, after driving one I think that will ruin the car on UK roads. It's spot on from the factory IMO.

Ok for the USA where they just drive in straight lines on large free-ways!! :P :fuelfire:

Argh, I can't decide if I like the 370Z's looks or not. Some days I think it looks pretty good but other days I reckon it's over-styled (if that term makes sense). Certainly an appealing package either way.

Are we taking bets on how long it'll be before Breaker buys one?

Yeah he'll have ordered one by end of Jan 2010 :poke:

The only thing I don't like is that the rear wheels sit really far into the arch, from some angles it looks a little odd. The brakes look awesome.

Got offered 19.5 for mine at a vauxhall garage at the wekend FYI, mine is 2007, 25k miles, sport, silver.

To be honest I'm expecting a better trade in at the local Nissan dealer as they offered me nearly £2,000 more for my MINI JCW against a second hand 350Z than that local BMW/MINI dealer did against the Z4 I bought!!

I'll find out Friday. :)

It wasn’t against anything, told him we were after a hatchback but didn’t know what and just wanted a price on what my car was worth.
He than asked if we were after a 19.5k car or a car and some cash in the back pocket?

Hmmm, I'm on a not-liking-it-so-much day today...

Side profile and from rear 3/4 view it's stunning (roofline into rear window), but I'm not as keen on the front or rear.

I never like Japanese performance cars from a look point of view. Always full of plastic on the inside, and odd shapes on the outside. No matter how good they might be, I could never see myself in one. Just looking at the dashboard with the strange dials is enough to put me off.

I would agree on the 350Z but that 370Z inside is a nice place to be. The only cheap bit for me was the heated seat switches which were probably from a Micra!!

The internals of the Z4 are sleeker and the switches are "engineered" in comparison, but saying that, all in, the 370Z was a more entertaining car to drive than the Z4, M or not!
The Z4 is a sleek sports car, the 370Z is a muscle car dressed as a sports car (abet on steroids!)! :)

One of the main reasons I like the 370 is it is so different to the Z4. I just fancy a change to the Z4 in my next car.

Saying that, I'm not sure I'm ready to give up the Z4 yet but that doesn't stop me looking around!

On another thing I have noticed, I have looked at a couple of 370 and 350Z forums like this one and the faults listed on them for the cars are hardly any compared with this forum!

I think the rear would offset well with a carbon diffuser: http://www.automobilesreview.com/img_loader.php?show_image=cobra-n-plus-370z%2Fcobra-n-370z-03.jpg

That's a nice improvement, as are the wheels sitting further out in the rear arches.

Just had the Nissan dealer on the phone. Came back with some figures for mine. He has been waiting for the new glasses guide to come out.
Nissan aren't releasing the new cars until January (you can buy some demo cars now) so he has put a projected value on mine as £17,000 in January (which I think is a little low!).
Also Nissan have put their prices up from October 1st which equates to £1,200 on the 370Z.

So with all the above and the fact I have been driving my Z4 more over the last couple of days and been really enjoying it all over again, I may keep the Z4. I'll see how I feel in January when the 370Z comes out. :)
