I may have to take my ball in

If he currently drives the Peugeot, and he is getting a company car, then just ditch the Peugeot and you can carry on as normal.

Or upgrade to a newer version.

DONT do the sensible thing and lose the Z4....believe me, that will hurt for months!

Are you ignoring me mrs? :D

No, sorry just missed your post, I currently have a 5 year old going a bit bonkers after his first day back at school.
I got the Zed 'coz I want a roadster that would also be an all year round car, but then I never got to try out it's snow and ice abilities this winter, so I still don't know whether it is! How is the Porsche btw ? (Not that I can afford one of those!)

Well then, that's why you should keep it. Put some winters on it in the bad weather and have some fun in the summer and remember why you bought it,

Boxster is stonking! Bloody love it. :D

Buy the zed some winter tyres with his pay increase

Problem sorted

I have some winter tyres sitting in my garage that I no longer need - Bing had 1st refusal on the 17" wheels but won't fit his //M

Here's a pickie twinkle (of the good one, consider the others have kerb rash), let me know & will provide more pics of each

you own a peugot :|
Yes, and I bought it from new! To be fair, it's been a good car for the past 6 1/2 years and only thing that's needed replacing is brake pads and tyres. Only repair ever was tail end of exhaust and a temperature sensor last month.

Don't see the problem, he drives the Peugeot, he gets a company car, he sells the Peugeot. Nothing to do with you :D

Husband got news of promotion today and with this comes company car..... which means getting rid of one of mine, as he currently drives my Peugeot and I of course my zed.
Sadly the Peugeot is two years younger, has half the mileage of the zed and is better in winter. Therefore the sensible choice would be to sell the zed :x

What sort of car is he getting from work?

As long as I get the money seeing as I bought it with my hard earned cash !
As for which car he's getting, his choice from the list, so he is currently mumbling about tax liabilities and such like. He is going to narrow it down so we can go and look at them in the flesh next week. All we know is that it has to be blue, as by order of resident small dictator.

Why not "lose" the company car and wonder where the random cash came from sell the pug and buy another zed?

If there's an allowance available in lieu of a car, it's often a worthwhile choice. The tax penalty for having a company car in this country is ridiculous

The Pug will fall to bits long before the Zed. :fuelfire:

+1. All French cars have a mileage countdown, always a random amount, and when they hit it they give a Gallic shrug and shed their components all over the road

McVities export out of date digestives to France and Peugeot use them as brake discs. In 1988 me and a friend got the munchies after an epic teenage lagerthon and finding his mother's fridge bereft of the usual saucers containing half eaten swiss roll or batenburg we had to eat the brake discs from his Citroen AX GT. OK not Peugeot but still French.

On the other hand the Germans produce food that is more suited to heavy industrial mechanical applications.

I rest my case.

^^this. Negotiate an allowance, if you can. It'll pay to keep both cars in tyres, mods etc etc. ;)

...................... hmmmmmmmmm sounds like an "if the Zed goes, so do you" moment ....... :D

Just trying to imagine what my girl would say if I suggested something like that ........ pretty sure she would keep it down to 2 syllables .....

Please don't go NDB ........ we're well too nice to be dumped on here .....
