Sounds like the worst is behind & kind of humbled that you could share with us . even though forum friends can be as good as real time ones
look to the future now
My thought exactly

Wow, thanks for all your messages, its good to read.

Got a call a little while ago to say the operation is complete and all went well. She's in recovery now, so I'll phone a little later to see if she's back on the ward and I can go see her. She wasn't expecting me to go today cos she thought she'd be too sleepy, but I want to go, even if she is asleep.

As someone said, hopefully the worst is behind us now. We've been through so much together.

I'm sure our story is no different to lots of peoples but I'm glad I shared it and thank-you again for all your comments.

Good to hear it went well, must be so worrying. I'd really struggle mentally to cope with what you and your wife are going through, really puts things into perspective. Like worrying about stupid silly things when I should just be living life to the max. Hoping for a speedy recovery and many years more happy marriage :)

What a lovely post :happyclap:
I've been with my wife for 29 years. Had a few scares but three little men later luckily we're all ok. My heart goes out to you both and all the best for for the future :roundel:

Cool - makes you sit back and think a bit doesn't it. Hope all is well with you and yours - I'm off to make a cuppa for mrs G (that'll make her suspicious )
