I am truly shocked and disappointed.

After sending over 40 items out over the last month I was very disappointed to get an email from PayPal saying someone was making a complaint and was taking action to get a refund.

I sold the side vents to a member of the forum for a way below value price of £30 for the pair delivered. They sell for £25 plus each on eBay.

The original add is here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=114237

Bing purchased the centre vent which he emailed to say he was very pleased with, I then lowered the price for the second two side vents after checking their worth. I have tired to give everyone a deal.

You can see from the photo that the covers were missing as I had removed the cup holders.

The person who bought then messaged to ask if I have the covers, to which I replied that I may have in my parents garage and would look when I visited. But made it clear that they were not included as shown in the photos. But if I found them I would send them.

Truth is I had a quick look and couldn’t find them and then got busy with life and another 40 packages to pack and send.

I always try and be honest and upfront, and it’s very disappointing to have had someone process a claim.

I have given parts away FOC, fitted parts for people who have come to my house. Including a window regulator that is a pain to do. I have sent a £300 sensor to a guy so he can check if it fixes his problem before He buys a new one or make a donation for the one I sent. Which I didn’t even take money for postage for.

I hope the member sees this, I will happily send a refund if you return the vents.

If I hear nothing from you and we don’t resolve this I will make public the member.

That's a shame, why wouldn't they contact you directly and work it out ?? :|

I’d expect them to message and ask for a refund if they truly wasn’t happy, which I would be happy to do if the asked to return the item.

I’d be happy to take them back and resell them as many members asked for them but they never suggested they wanted to return them.

They didn’t pay enough for them in my opinion, and I have seen a trend on the forum since for the member asking top top money for items and they offering silly money to purchase item.

Let me get this straight....someone is making a claim to PayPal for £30 for vents you described and sent but couldn’t find the covers as you mentioned you might not, correct..??

WTF...???? :o ....and £30...are they serious...??

That isn't what we expect on this forum - even if it's not unusual elsewhere. :(

I hope you get it sorted OP, and if not maybe you should contact the Mods.

Hi Simon some people are never happy. Maybe I should put a claim in for the speeding ticket I got when I come to pick up the abs pump you sold me    hope you get this sorted. On a lighter note have you made your mind up on your next toy yet. Cheers Rob

I think op made it quite clear the vents were sold as seen without the covers. The buyer needs to return the vents or drop the claim. We are a happy family on this forum who help each other out as synthed up has done in spades

blimey, calm down - put the rope down - there might be a good reason , dont know do we.. :o although a pm might have been better i grant you

I’m going to drop him a PM and ask for the vents to be returned.

With how PayPal protects the buyer I imagine he will end up with a refund and the item which would seriously p*ss me off.

PP is totally loaded in the buyers favour , i won't use it on principal , just villains masquerading as reputable , as for the situation itself  wtf is wrong with people :( the pics show what was on sale , the witless individual clearly thought he was buying the vents with blanks then had a hissy when he thought he'd been done over  sends my misanthropy off the scale :!:

Well if that happens you should definitely name and shame so other members don't get ripped off.

There is no good reason if the buyer hasn’t contacted the seller before putting in a dispute with PayPal.

Very poor behaviour - I think I was one of the first to buy from you and was happy to do so from your description - sight unseen.

I was also happy to pay directly into your bank account. Very sad that you agree to paypal (I assume to accommodate the buyer who must have a bank account anyway) or the buyer didn't send the money as a gift so no fees were involved. This isn't ebay we're not locked into paypal so I suggest members refuse to use it. Cash on collection or direct transfer or don't buy it!

Anyone who insists on paypal from the start is looking for a way out and not entering wholeheartedly into the transaction - name and shame so no other members get stung (he want you to pay return post next) for a bigger item.

I had expected far better from a member on here - for heavens sake members often give stuff away rather than put it on ebay the sort of attitude that makes this forum a pleasant place to be

Well, I have just put my case forward to PayPal. It will take them up to 30 days to review.

It appears as if the member is claiming £20 from the original sale price of £25 for the two side covers.

It makes me sick as I sold them for £25 including postage which I was then charged PayPal fees on as he didn't send as a gift.

If he wins the case it will have cost he over £3 and have no vents. :headbang:

For the record this member was the only person not to bank transfer or send as a gift, I should have know he couldn't be trusted.

On a £30 item its a bummer - name and shame before he buys a set of wheels from a member at £500 and tries the same trick ........ and if returning the items is a problem I'm sure that another member on here would be happy to go round and collect on your behalf - ask and I'm sure someone will offer to help you.

It was actually only £25 including postage.

I have PMd the buyer saying he is welcome to return the vents for a refund.

He has read the message but not replied yet, but I will give him chance too.

If he doesn’t get a grip and cancel the claim today I will name him.

Tbh I should name him anyway to avoid this happening to anyone else but I’m not one for causing trouble.

Then again I won’t be taken advantage off!!
