ok I s (anally) hovering out my car and found a little bit of plastic in the cubby hole between the seats at the bottom.

what was that I pondered,

hmmm,

can't be anything inportant and then itdisapeared up the tube.

Now i realise it was the little piece that is supposed to be part of the base that when the flap shut it turns of the light.

Bugger

It's like the fridge light...do you actually know for sure it goes off when you close the door though...think of it as stage 1 of the all important 'weight reduction mod'.

Your car will now go a bit faster and burn a bit less fuel.

intersting point similar to " does the boot light go out when I close the boot ? " - had this dilemma with my previous car - battery was mysteriously running down - thought up a cunning plan to find out - set a video camera up and placed in said boot on "record " and the opened and shut boot - discovered light wasn't going off and with a little adjustment resolved the issue - same principle can be applied to bonnet light, glove box etc .

Another trivial but not completely useless information from an old git !!

time to empty the hoover bag and get dusty :D

it is so much fun emptying hoover bag, as I found out when I replaced my accelerator pedal and I put the screw cover to one side and the when finished the job, gave it a quick vac and you can guess the rest :headbang: took me a while to find it in the bag along with the rest of crap in there.

"If a tree falls in the forest, does anyone....." oh sorry, I got carried away there.....

When a train hits a fly does the train stop momentarily before the dead fly goes into reverse ?

Sorry - getting really silly now !

I don't know, but the last thing that goes through the fly's mind is it's ar$...well, you get the idea!

Conversely, my house is full of stuff that I've kept 'just in case'. Most of which I have no idea what it is for.

speaking of which, how can a butterfly flapping its wings half way around the world cause an earthquake in borneo??

Not really silly.....maybe someone can calculate the resultant loss of energy vis-a-vis the train, as a result of the aforementioned fly (subsequently deceased) losing its kinetic energy at the point of impact...? Or is all that kinetic fly energy converted into fly-mush?

Pass the Red Bull will you?......

But I bet you keep it in your 'man draw' in the kitchen? Chargers for mobile phones long gone etc etc ((c) Peter Kay in my memory serves)

A little vulger may be but " why do you always look at the toilet paper after wiping your ..... " what are you expecting to see ?

One of life's little mysteries !

The train and the fly crash is fairly easy to calculate as it is based on their momentum (mass x velocity) where mass is constant and on the assumption that no other external forces influence the experiment (driver increases/decreases) acceleration ...so....

Post accident train velocity = ((Mass of train x train velocity) - (mass of fly x fly velocity)) / mass of train

and I really do have better things to do :poke:
