Huge drop in Insurance Premium this year.

Both my ///M and the wifes Astra are due for insurance end Sept early October.

Last year I paid £370 for the ///M and £270 for the Astra

This year I am paying £301 for the ///M and £188 for the Astra saving just over £150

For once it's actually a multicar policy with Admiral. I'm not a fan of these but as there is only 8 days difference between the renewal dates it's not an issue.

Also means I can fit my strut brace soon :D

Perhaps hitting 40 this year has had something to do with it?

The renewal for my wife's car is £100 less this year than last, on a multi-car from Direct Line. I have had a poke around but really can't find a better price - I was gobsmacked :?

Wonder if my Z insurance will be similarly spectacular when I have to renew in Feb...

Result for you mr hutch

Is that price with the strut brace included, or are you waiting for it to be installed to tell them and pay the admin charge/premium increase?

Included, been sitting in the garage for a few months as i wasnt going to pay an admin fee.

They did ask if the car would be tracked or was just for asthetics.

They also only allow five mods so side skirts and rear spoiler grouped as bodykit.

Er so I just did a quote...

Bear in mind I'm 23

650??

Have I done it right
Who knows, what other info did you provide - did you declare that you're a hound who uses your car to pick up chix from seedy bars and get them hot by taking them on high-speed thrill rides or did you say that you're a celibate chaplain who only uses his ///M to drive to church on Sunday?

Told them I'm a 17 year old blonde with massive tits and if they made it cheap I'd let them take me for a ride, in their mpv

£650 sounds fair then... :P

I was paying £600 last year on a 2004 3.0 (27, 9 years NCB)

Just renewed with Churchill (28, 10 years NCB) including NCB protection, courtesy car etc was £370!

chuff me...get it paid and stop whining you guys get soooo cheap insurance. her indoors fire breathing speed demon 106 (p reg) with its free revving massive 1L engine is over 600 quid and we both are 35!

Jeez, some pricey insurance quotes in here. I was paying £360 for my MR at 23. Renewal is due in October so will be interesting to see what it comes in at.

How the hell did you manage that, are you a nun?

I just renewed mine with BMW insurance. It's gone up from £390 to £430, I could have got it cheaper elsewhere but would have been facing a much higher excess on any claims. Plus my (admittedly very limited) experience of BMW insurance has been very positive, unlike some other insurers that I've been with in the past. I've had bad experiences with Churchill and Admiral to name but two.

For some reason or another, I have always had very reasonable insurance quotes - apart from an M3. Cheapest quote I got for that was £890.

I work offshore and my mileage is set at 6k per annum. I have 3 years no claims and 1 "at fault" claim against me. I am expecting an increase in premium this year as it seems that all prices are going up. It's heartbreaking that My road tax costs more than my insurance!
