How's my pricing?

Cheers

Didn't want to be greedy or give it away

Not desperate to sell it to be honest so we will see if there is any interest

I'd say in the current market it's possibly a little overpriced. You may be better lowering the price by £1000 and putting the original wheels back on if you have them.

The market on Z4M's seems to be all over the place at the moment. Price wise I think you are there or there abouts with everything else that is out there. However there seem to be a lot of cars that are not moving. Is this because there is no demand at the moment for these cars or is it because the prices are artificially high. Maybe its a little early in the year and in another couple of months when the sun starts to shine demand will increase.

I'm keeping my eyes open as I may look to sell my car in the summer to get something more family friendly. :(

There is a lack of demand for all sports cars at the moment...a bit like house prices, its the lack of demand in the marketplace keeping them down, rather than pricing. Z4Ms are already comically cheap, just compare them to Z3M prices...that's where these will eventually end up

There is no way Z4M prices will end up as the same as Z3M prices. Is the Z3M not a LOT rarer? This has a huge impact on the price it'll settle at; again coming back to your theory on supply and demand. There will be more supply than demand when compared to the Z3M. The Z4M, whilst great, will not be as iconic; and only a fool would base his assumptions on future values on this.

I also think the lack of demand has little to do with the shape of the car (i.e. Sports Car), but that it is hugely expensive to run when comparing it to even the 3.0si - which let's face it, isn't a lot slower or different to look at. In essence they are fairly commoditised to the majority of buyers. Which one will they choose when the 3.0si is massively cheaper to run than the M. Even when compared to running a Ford Focus, the 3.0si fairs extremely well.

What I don't understand is sellers pricing themselves out of a sale. Price it sensibly, and it will sell (or be prepared to wait for someone who is most likely more local). Price it not according to what you feel the car is worth, but what the market indicates. The same M cars have been sat on AutoTrader for weeks/months now, because they are ridiculously priced for the market.

Just like some speculate the Z4M will be a future classic, you speculate it won't.

Neither opinion is based on any hard facts, just purely emotive depending on your point of view. However, since the Z4M is one of the last crop of naturally aspirated true M-powered cars and is widely regarded as one of the best M cars ever produced my opinion is it will become a classic.

I think you should do a bit more homework before labelling people as fools....

There were 165 RHD S54 equipped Z3Ms, and they were only built in 2002. There were about 300 of the S52 variant built between 1999 and 2001. Z4MC production for the UK was 588. The Z4M is already considered a future classic by various sources - Evo Magazine for example, though their write up is a mess! - and represents one of the last of the 'back to basics' , NA, manual M cars.

The M costs more to run but having driven both, its more car. The costs are tiny compared to some cars - it's all relative. Besides, nobody buys a ten year old 'normal' Z3 Coupe 3.0 over a Z3M Coupe due to 'running costs'.

I didn't brand you a fool specifically; however I still brand anyone a fool who bases their future value on the potential for a car to become iconic. Saying you think a car will become iconic is fine, as long as you're not assigning a monetary value to it and expecting to see a better return because of it.

Only 72 S54 Z3M Roadsters are left accounted for in the UK i believe. I sooo wanted one in imola red, but they are about as rare as hens teeth!

I'm always amazed at what Z3s go for in comparison to Z4s.
