How well are 28i's selling?

and just wondered how well the Z4 28i m-sport versions are selling?Sad news you might have to sell. I have no idea how well they're selling, are you talking new or second hand, presumably the latter. Who knows, the dealers perhaps? Put it up for sale and find out is all I can say. As for how many there are, not many;

What plate is it? This seems to be the main determining factor these days providing condition etc. is OK.
I got my brand new (10 miles) 28i 6 months ago with over £13 K off the list price simply due to the 62 plate and the imminent arrival of 2013 models. Depreciation is unfortunately savage.
Regrettably, although no intention of selling and just 1400 miles on it, I doubt mine would fetch much better than £24K, iDrive and M spec.
Good luck with the sale but be prepared for some haggling as real world prices are not great.

Like I said, mine's only got 2000 odd miles on it so it's mint. The only extra it doesn't have is the i-drive. And it's in "recession" white (as Maniac calls it) so I thought it might sell quite well TBH.
Anyway, i'm going to get it washed, waxed and photo'd this weekend and get it on Autotrader and Pistonheads. I'll price it sensibly to help sell it. Fingers crossed!

Been on Autotrader now for just over a week and a half and had one call from a guy who sounded quite interested, but then didn't show up. And, had a text from a guy who offered me £2.5k less than I was asking out of the blue. On the plus side, more than 650 people have "viewed" my car on Autotrader.
I think it may just be the wrong time of year!

Thats probably the case but even so I am concerned about the retained value of these cars overall - which IMO has been caused by the crazy discounting, leaving aside questions of poor build quality, rubbish engines, customer satisfaction etc.
I intend to get out of my 28i asap but have decided to leave it until early 2014 but despite it having absolutely top spec I think realistically I'll be looking at just over £20K. Would of course get more if I traded it for another BM but I won't be doing that again.
I wish you well. Have you asked your dealer/any dealer what they would give you - probably be almost as good as you'll achieve privately at the moment and with a lot less hassle.

I went in to have a look at a white with red leather, 20i M Sport but nothing else added, 6000 miles and priced at 25k. Was told it had been sold when I walked in (this was at BMW dealer) so I would suspect that with 2100 miles, 25k would be very reasonable.

Decided I will be keeping mine once the PCP is up in 2016, I reckon mine will have around 4.5K on the clock by then, hopefully still immaculate as it doesn't get used during the cruddy winter months so it will be a bargain to buy. Build quality has been great upto now and touch wood no problems. My local dealer has always been superb so will still be using them as I still do with the Z3. My only bugbear with the Zed is the engine when cold but once warmed up is smooth and flexible
I think for some people 2 seater roadsters are just not their type of car, hence many owners in a short period of time.

Will do, black is best when clean. Jag looks superb if I had a bigger budget it would be a Cayman for me. But at £20K/£22k its a 2006/07 and don't want to many big bills etc..
