Okay, finally have the oppurtunity to impart wisdom in the art of PW'ism :D (Hope Sp3ctre doesn't get too upset at me, I had posted the original text prior to becoming a Mod)

1) Welcome everyone! And if the oppurtunity arises, welcome them to the forum again (hint: welcome, then ask for pics of their cars in a later post :wink: )
2) Emoticons are your friends, if you can't think of anything specific to say, post an emoticon :D
3) Jump into the useless banter threads. We have a few on this board, just try to follow the guidelines and post away!
4) Have fun!!! The more people having fun, leads to more participation, but don't offend anyone in your pursuits :wink:
5) Set up a thread so that you have a response to make,,, it is easier than you think. Ask a question that will garner a response then go from there. (Why do you think this thread was started :D )

Aha, I found it!!!! :D I knew that it was in this thread somewhere,,,,, Looking at all the posts lately, it seems that a few of our illustrious members, and a few newbies to boot, have made use of my guide and are now posting away (and incereasing their post count) :lol:

Did it attack your canoe while you were fishing? Attack rabbits can do this too......
 
I was actually walkimg back to the truck at 8pm and passing by a swamp.

My buddy saw a bunny though. He actually thought about shooting it with a 30.06 BAR :rofl:
 
^^^ I had a 300 Win Mag and almost shot a wild cat since I did not see a single Hog :?

Walid (the other friend) was using a 375 H&H Mag. He shot a spike buck and there was NOTHING left of the chest!
 
Tales like this remind me that we need to protect the rights of Bears to have Arms. You gotta admit that encountering a black bear packing a .457 Weatherby would definitely add some excitement to your adventures in the woods :D
 
AlanL I have to agree. The people have a right to be armed. I have looked at crime figures and at least in Canada more than 99% of firearmn related crimes are done using illegal weapons. Whenever there is a shooting here the Government tries to take away more of our rights in the name of Public Safety - the funny thing is that these firearm offenses are done done by criminals using unregistered and smuggled handguns. Armed law-abiding citizens with vaild and registered firearms do not do these criminal shooting sprees.

I will admit that running into a black bear with a powerful rifle would add excitement! :D
