Just chipping in here with regards to the sound system- both the 676 speakers and amp is average, not bad, not great. Improving either the speakers or the amp helps (not sure what is best as an initial choice though). There’s plenty of info from various forum users who are / have tried different set ups here
https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146911.

Just be prepared, it’s a rabbit hole - ultimately, the 676 speakers need more power, and the 676 amp isn’t quite powerful enough - but replacing either with better quality improves the deficiencies in the other, and replacing both is top notch.
Sorry for going off topic!
Thank you very much for your answer, which enlightened me about the subject
I have discussed this topic in PM with Annubis(Dave), told me that iDrive unit amp is not that bad as some non-iDrive unit as he experienced.
For now I use focal Midrange (front and back) and tweeter in standard stereo conf, sound is great,
as focal is neodyme I think is easier to drive than others for the original iDrive amp I use. I tried eton ones, advised in some z4 forum - but there were to big for my door

!
I wish to change my sub with focal ones, either the 4 ohm one (like the BMW - 86 dB sensibilty) or 8 ohm (but 89 dB sensibility) to reduce power strain in case I don't change the amp - I have stated about yet - as trying Vibe sound or either brand amplifier make me want to.
I have to test further my actual conf to see if there is amplification problem and state about the sound quality.
The problem is that the idea of amplifying already high level output from the iDrive amplifier is not so satisfying for me as the signal still going through the iDrive amplifier, thus inherit amplification problems from it, at least partially.

About cruise control, I got it working thanks to the file from Dave and the BMW easy coding tool package I posted above - I mixed up the thing and got it working. Thanks to him for the huge work accomplished with the tutorials !
Not sure unpluging the battery is necessary for the airbags since modern airbags have often a battery inside
Also added the BC button menu to reduce the auto headlight sensibility - works nice now.
For anyone interested - you have to change this variable to unlock the menu - you can also change the settings directly in the RLS module.
