How old are you and am I too young to drive G29?

It's easier to explain when parked on a hill. The car thinks the brake force from the ABS module can not 100% secure the car from rolling so it seeks the help from mechanical force from the parking brake.

Yes it’s on. And it auto holds fine. Light press of pedal doesn’t activate it so you can crawl along or reverse park easily, but a long press it holds beautifully.
It’s just weird how the parking break sometimes attaches when you switch off the engine and other times it doesn’t.
 
I’m into the habit of putting it on whenever it’s in park, auto hold is great. Need to wipe reversing camera grrr

Mine is tech-less so don't need to worry about reversing camera lens. But with the cold weather and mask, I need to wipe my lens to see the world. :headbang: :headbang:
 
It’s only these dirty wet days tho - so I tend to give it a quick wipe when I go into the boot (on the 335 as I haven’t graduated to the M40i yet) My 35is doesn’t have a camera :(

It’s only the insurance companies that put significant financial penalties in the way of both the young and the old!

Couldn't agree more! I still remember fondly my first, a 1973 Triumph Spitfire when I was a young lad in the US Navy. Oddly enough, that car was very close in color to the Z4 I own now. I do like the color blue....but actually, in both cases, I got the color that was on the available car! 8) I cannot figure out how to post a photo of the Spit from my PC.......looks like I have to have it "out there" with a URL?

Well, in my 20s I owned a sprite, several midgets and an mgb roadster then a Capri. Then moved into flat and house purchase, then got married had kids and later a German shepherd. So needed people carriers, kids have left home and shepherd passed away, wife still here. Wife has a comfortable Ford Focus for long trips so as a nice trip down memory lane I have a Z4 E85 and love it. Yes it is basic but it feels alive and makes me feel alive, I have a radio and CD player, do I listen to it, no hardly at all and at 68 I am making the most of what time is left. Am I too young or too old for any Zed, who cares.
 
I was having my mid-life crisis at 49 and told my girlfriend "the convertible or a 23 yo side girlfriend".
I have enjoyed my Z4 terribly this last 9 years :)
Get the Z4, save some money to buy a used 325 wagon for when the kids come.

Thanks! I had forgotten that's how it works! Loved that little under powered bundle of fun! Had to rebuild the clutch and brake master cylinders a couple of times. I finally sold it for a ridiculously low price around 1978, and have regretted it ever since. But I was fresh out of the Navy, just moved and started a new job, and needed the money. I checked around online recently for an early 1970s Spitfire; cost was in the $12-$15k range!

Those big rubber boobies on the North American version spoiled the delicate look unfortunately.
