How much oil does your Z4M use?

My ///M has never used any oil whether driven in London traffic, for transcontinental road trips or thrashed on track days. I change the oil every 4-6 K miles depending on how many track days its seen. It does use a little coolant these days though. My S2000 uses oil at a rate of around 1ml per mile, especially if I've driven it hard, so I carry oil in that car.

might be worth getting the HG done now as preventive work....

On the oil theme, i saw a discussion about what people use in their M's between 10w60 and 15w50 (Something over Rod Bearing failures). What does everyone use, i think BMW recommend 10w60?

I only use the BMW M specific Castrol Edge 10W-60. I stick to normal scheduled oil changes as per the service book and its never needed any oil between services.

None, ever apart from service time... BUT that M diff lock oil must be made from Dodo groin juice or something because its flipping expensive! But its a great LSD so worth it. :D
