How much oil does your Z4M use?

I bought mine March 6th (2 and half months ago)... oil was fine... then topped it up about 2 weeks later (2 months ago) so it was full. Its now still on the full mark. Is this normal? I thought they were supposed to use a lot of oil..

Also, do you ever need to top us your coolant??
 
How many miles were covered in that time. Mine's had 1/4 litre in nearly a year but that's only 2.5k miles.
It has to depend on how hard it's driven too?
 
I added a quart after about 600 mles but haven't added any since

Also read on here about not filling to the fill line on stick
 
Mine's used about 400ml in 8,000 miles!

My e34 M5 used about 400ml in 8,000 metres :P
 
mine hasnt used much oil at all, ive done abt 6k miles but recently ive started using her on the odd track days, with prolonged high revs and hot engine temps ive had to add abt 300ml, but i keep a very close eye on the oil consumption and i can honestly say its been fantastic but then again to me this engine is one of the all time greats, and one of the m divisions very best!
 
I have never had to top mine up either - just under 20k on the clock (with the oil service in-between). Dont rag it everywhere but give it a boot when i can. Must have a good un under the 'hood' :thumbsup: shame about the rest of my cars problems !
 
Nope, mine uses very little. Didn't need to top up in 10,000 miles as it was still above the minimum.
 
30k and only topped up 500ml once.

used to own an alfa twinspark and this was more like 500ml every month.

the 3.2L S54 is basically, an absolutely stonking engine.
 
We've had our Z4 for nearly 2yrs from new, its done 13k miles, & generally we put 1ltr of oil in evry 4/5months. :D
 
What are you guys topping up with in the UK, I can't be bothered reading the manual...
