How many times have u wished

I have one simple question: how many times did it happen to you that ure walking on the street and u got people with their cars (focus RS, Audi TTs, citroen C2 :) , VW Golf and the list goes on and on) and they think they are the kings of the world and u wish u would have ur car RIGHT THERE and give him a little lesson.
I have every single morning a guy in a scirocco fully pimped that passes me by when i'm at work and he always gives full throttle for 1 meter. And the best thing is he has a sticker on the back of his car wich has written "Catch me if you can" and sadely i havent found him on the streets when i'm with my car. :driving:

Tell about your storys and cars u would wish to meet on the street. Do u have the same experiences or is it just me that think they always trying to bug me. :poke: :D :D :D :D :D

I've always wanted to come up against a Porsche 911 Carrera. Never happened. Always seems to be crap cars about when I'm in mine

You're absolutly right every time i'm with my car only crapy hunday getz come after me?? Getz oh come on. the funny thing is that they dont let u off even that it is obvious that they have no chance. And a second thing is that WHEN i have a chance for a race i got my girlfriend sitting next to me.....................
Since i have my car had only one race and that was against an M3 and Maseratti at the same time best time i had with my car so far.

I wanna race against a focus RS here in Luxembourg they really think they got the best car EVER made. NO WE OWNERS OF A BMW Z4M have the best car ever made :) :poke:

Really? I seem to attract the great unwashed. Like last night I had a MK4 Escort RS Turbo playing silly buggers. I let him go past. Then this morning I was following an Audi S4 on the way to Bracknell and he was goading me at every set of lights. I let him go, only to keep catching him up a few moments later. But then, working so close to BMW UK, every other car around is an aggressively driven BMW, so I'm probably spoilt for choice.

I don't really like this "proving a point" driving though for two reasons. One, the Z4M is by far the hardest car to get off the line I have ever had and two because this sort of thing always happens in the suburbs which isn't the best place to start driving like a loon. But... I have had three recent memorable run ins recently. Firstly up against an E60 535D, which was surprisingly quick, and then a 750i that was being driven by a good friend of mine which was also surprisingly quick. Both of them seemed to be having far less traction issues than I was, since the Z4M just bounces around on our dreadfully surfaced roads, whereas they, with their slushboxes and compliant ride were able to get all the power down without any fuss. As a result, point to point, they were quicker, although no doubt less fun. The third was following a 993 C2 along the A3 recently, who was giving it the beans if the puff of smoke on the upchange was anything to go by, and who seemed very disappointed when I stayed with him all the way. Ironically his car almost certainly worth more than mine.

:) i never have that. One point is very true: that almost every chance u get is in the city and i dont wanna drive like a fool there. Just came from my 12:00 pause and the scirocco past again next to me AAAAAAARRRGGGHHHH + he has the windows all the time down with stupid samba music and looks at you like: look at me i'm gay and i have the best car in the world".
Wanna catch him so bad PLEASE :driving:

I dont think we have the hardest car to get off at all. 4.9s to 100km/h imo it isnt very slow

This thread = oh dear

Do you really feel a need to show someone else how fast you/your car is?

I would guess someone in a 'whatever', will know that a Z4 will or won't be faster.

And the likelyhood is that most don't actually think they are KOTW, you/we just think that's what they think.

Lance i get ur point but we're just having fun. :)
I have a "i let myself provoke way to much" sindrome.
I see potential races all the time :D
Dont think i wanna race all the time anywere i love to take my car ion the middle of the night and just take it for a ride with the roof down. NO radio and just the beautiful sound of the exhaust and engine.

Fair do's fella

I'm more the school of thought that the calm subtle approach wins in 'race' situations. A few revs coupled with a bit of edging forward, usually leads to the boy/girl racer moving away like a scaled cat, whilst you chuckle and gently move away.

In my yoof, I remember a situation where I was at the lights on my 1100 motorbike with a Countach next to me in the next lane. He was giving it loads of revs and edging forward and looking across. Lights changed and I floored it (so to speak), few seconds later glanced in my mirror just to see the rear of his car turning immediate left at the lights.......no doubt pi55ing himself. I always credited him with the win here and admired his style.

Nice story Lance and real funny :)
I rather drive alone fast if i want to then racing almost had an accident this weekend with my Z4MR because of the rain we went for a photoshooting wich i will post further on a new thread and on my way home on the highway i had aquaplanning and it went almost all wrong lucky me there was no car on my left. SCARY!!!
