How good are your heated seats?

Hello all.

If all goes to plan I should be a Z owner by the end of the week! I am curious how good are the heated seats, I love them in a car espc convertibles but I have found some a lot better than others and wondered if any other members had anything to compare too? I have owned the following with heated seats

Golf R32 - Very good, very hot and good coverage all over the seat

Astra VXR - Average, gets quite warm but takes ages, good coverage

Nissan 350z - RUBBISH hardly got hot at all took ages then cycles on and off so gets hot then cool etc and over on the bum not the back!

anyone had any of those cars they could compare the BMW seats too, id image the golf ones will be the same as all Audi's too?

cheers

Neil

I find them great and they heat nice and quick :D

You have three levels of heat and I can never use the highest  mrs gannet is always one notch higher than mine...

much better than the ones in the Alfa I had though those seats were cloth. only heated your bum though...

So do the BMW ones do back and bum or just bum! My missus is the same and has my current seat at least one setting higher than me!

Do back and bum...

They are very good, heat up quickly and as an added bonus send my GF straight to sleep ;)

Not in the headrest though no matter how many times I try

It's a good job they're good, my Spider was a million times better at keeping warm air in the cabin.

Hah.. never had any problems with any of the electrics on that car, the Zed is a lot more prone actually.

It's just a bad design in the Zed between the back of the windows and the edge of the roll hoops. The Spider had a much higher roll-over windscreen & cucooned you a lot better.

It didn't have 350hp tho

The older seat heaters are not as effective as the new ones. The difference between my 2004 3.0 and my 2007 M is enormous.

The M heats up much, much quicker and the heating elements go much higher up in your back.

Fantastic as really missed them in dealers loaner, also missed wind deflector this had a noticeable difference to cabin turbulance and noise

Mrs CJ is the only person I know who can take the 3 bar fire on her a*se. It's insane as they get soooo hot.
There has to be a double entendre in there somewhere, but that aside for sure on the sport seats they are excellent and a worthwhile option

3 is perfect on the motorway when you are desperate for the loo. It really helps ...
