How do I disable annoying seatbelt warning?

It’s loud and obnoxious and I think it’s coming from that little grill on top of steering wheel column. I know how to put my seatbelt on and don’t need a loud piercing reminder.
Any ideas how to disconnect? Can’t figure out how to get that little cover off.

Isn't the grill on top of the steering column the cover for the microphone for making hands free calls?

Correct. The warning speaker is located in the panel just above the pedals. Note that this is also used for your parking sensors, so if you disconnect the speaker you’ll loose those too.

And in cars without parking sensors the buzzer is on the instrument cluster’s circuit board.

Mine only activates over about 10 mph, and even then only after a short while.
How far are you going without putting the belt on?

Don't know about OP but I sometimes have to move the car to wash it and that involves either going onto the road and doing a three point turn or to the end of the street and around the roundabout. Literally 10 seconds away and yeah it can be annoying even if you are in the car for like 20-30 seconds max.

If I was going somewhere then yeah I put the seatbelt on but if I'm just moving the car then I won't.

The moment you're on a public road, for any length of time, your seatbelt needs to be on... None of this 20-30 max nonsense people, it's basic stuff.

I bet you have never driven over 70 either on the public roads.

I'm fully aware what the laws are and I am fully capable of making my own decisions.

Like I said I'm literally just turning the car around and moving it to another part of the driveway.

I'm hardly driving on the motorway. It's a residential estate full of speed bumps. The max speed anyone is doing is 20mph.

Did you know it's illegal to pay for a car park or drive through using your phone? Yet many airports and drive throughs allow this payment option?

There's leeway allowed for common sense.

Fine, but stop bleating on about a warning that's reminding you that you're breaking the law.

I'm not. I clearly stated I'm not the OP when I replied to you.

I just said that it can be annoying even if it's for literally 10 seconds.

Fine.

Carry on...................

I disabled mine with NCS Expert. You still get the dash light to warn you that you are breaking the law :poke:
