Unbelievable what these w*nkers have done. Not surprised that they are not english. not sure even english robbers would do things like that to folk.Don't blame you for taking a swing,I'd have done the same, but am a 17st rugby prop forward.Am so glad you and your son are safe,as others have said, you can replace "stuff",but people aren't replaceable. Don't expect them back, they'll know the place will now be like fort knox, even if you've replaced the stolen gear. The best security you can get as others have stated is a dog. Crims don't like dogs, the biggest deterrent to a house break in.Good luck with the shopping, love your positive attitude, keep cheerful, it's the best therapy. :D

+1

I have been brought up with Alsatians all my life. My parents got robbed once - within 2 weeks of our dog dying! There have been numerouse occasions when the dog has seen off an intruder. The one that stands out is when we all came back from a meal, the Ali we had at the time had poo'd in the kitchen (out of character) and got a right telling off - how bad did my dad feel when he discovered the front room bay window had been broken and she had some her job like a trooper and seen them off!

I appreciate though, Beedub has a very young son and would need to be very careful getting such a dog. + if 4 of them come in with a gun they would probably have shot a dog. Sick fuckers

Just wanted to add that I was shocked when I read this but am glad you are both ok. Fingers crossed they get them or that something horrible happens to them.

I would be very interested in the police's thoughts on this as I live local to beedub. I also have friends and family in the area and they would be keen to understand if this 'doorstepping' is on the increase

Beedub, did CID say much about other such incidents in the sutton / four oaks area?

PS which part of sutton are you in

This is a shocking development after your previous car theft incident Beedub, it seems you may being targeted. I did an internet search to see if the police had circulated any details of the stolen cars or the incident itself but there wasn't anything I could find. Maybe it's in your local press.

If the police haven't got this information out there yet then you should pressure them to do so, this is far too serious to keep to themselves. I've got some knowledge in this field and in my experience a press circulation would be one of the very first steps to take in attempts to prompt witnesses to come forward and to alert other members of the public in order that they can keep themselves safe.

hi guys, ive done my statement but cant get a crime number until Cid come over to me and start working out where were going from here, it seems this is getting pretty common, i live in the streetly area :-) my mom lives on roman Rd , little aston and strangely this is less common here in this very exclusive area according to the police, the finger print guy was a member of SdCC , lol so were meeting soon for a trackday!! awesome.

i expect to see this in the news maybe next week, its just very difficult to get any contact with anyone as i basically have to get messages from people and call back... nightmare.... making good headway and have the door company coming tuesday :-)

I don't understand their attitude with this, it's in the category of crime that normally gets maximum police attention and resources. An immediate witness appeal is the normal way to go with this type of crime and you should be pushing hard to get this done. Your young son was put under threat by this after all.

I also remember back in mid February you had your BMW 535 stolen outside a restaurant by fake AA recovery drivers who actually managed to locate and disable the tracker? That's an incredibly bad 3 months in anybody's book........

I'm with dgm on this, don't let them take a slow and ponderous approach to the investigation - this was a very serious crime and the perpetrators must be caught early before they cause life changing or even life ending harm to someone less robust than a guy in his 20s.
