Switched my computer on this morning, took a look at the forum..... to find this. WTF is this country coming to when this kind of thing happens! It's like something from your worst nightmare.....

My thoughts are with you at the moment. But, as many others have already said, you've got to look at the positives. You're all ok. Possessions can be replaced, people can't.....

Have the Police got any ideas who the gang are? They've got to be caught.....

no they had no idea...... i havent been back to the house yet, im half expecting to see the place literally gutted as they left alot of stuff.....
they said that they dont usually happen with shot guns however.....

Absolutely horrific, as some have said, forget the possessions, its about you and your family. We're all glad you're ok, and we're all horrified at the turn this country is taking and simply can't imagine how you must have felt, and how you continue to feel. I personally hope you're able to move forward from this quickly and get back to normality. I think I speak for all here when I wish you and your family only the very best.

yeahh not to sure how i feel at the mo....... still in abit of shock.... not looking forward to goin back this morning........

arhhhhhh well........ you guys be very careful... no more nice cars on the driveway now..... did think this was related to the theft of the other car tbh.......

i guess its about rebuilding..... excuse the typos, my glasses got smahed during the scuffle :-) i feel knackered......

you guys be VERY careful ....... genuinely though i was going to die... i could only think about my son and listed where all my valuables, ************************************.

Shocking Man that is shocking hope you and the family are ok , thankfully the young one missed it all.

I might edit the above post mate , I have hashed this one out , never know who is watching :(

Beedub - this is horrific. As said by all before glad you and your son are basically OK.

Perhaps I'd delist references to cash, watches, cars. The scum may read this too...

As others have offered - I'm just up the road if you need anything.

yeah i no what you guys mean, but no point now.... its all gone.
its doesnt matter... my son safe.... he was all i could think about.

Unbelievable! Bastards! You poor sod. Glad you and your son are relatively OK. INdded the Z is a Bonus and you'll be glad to go for spin.

I lived on Aston Brook Green for a little while and yes it was a little shitty and of course burglars are going to prefer robbing in Solihull and the other posh areas. But with guns?! thats just nuts. I hope the coppers are treating this bloody seriously. :x

That's all like a surreal gangster film... I thought thieves stole only Golfs and Mondeos to sell off the parts.

Anyway, I hope it won't be hard for the cops to retrieve your cars.

Respect for fighting back.

What can one say ? the scumbags will get their day . the important thing is yourself and family are fine . take it easy and try an chill .

Shocking.

I'm glad you're son and you are ok. Suprising they didn't look in the garage, they must think most people won't have more than a couple of cars.

Time to move to somewhere with a garage for all the cars? and a bloomin strong door.

I'm so glad you are all OK. In situations like that anything can happen.

Hope the Police catch the bastards and they get a long community service order

My girlfriend is a Police Officer (CID) She said these sorts of armed roberies happen more than you think, apparently most of the time the press don't get to find out so neither do you and I.

No doubt you've already been warned about this but its not uncommon for them to have another go once they've given you a chance to replace everything with brand new (so they get an even better haul 2nd time around). I didn't want to write that as its not what you want to hear, but I'd prefer to mention it if it stops you from having to go through it again.

You know what I'd do in your situation? Rent your house out and go and rent somewhere else yourself. That way you avoid the above, you get to have a break, something completely new for a bit and you won't have to go back to that house for a while, which will no doubt be very difficult to do. And by the sounds of things you won't have much stuff to move out either :|
