I buy quite a lot a month. I know the prices like the back of my hand. They are not popular anymore 2.2CTDi's. Expect a huge drop in price next month - as i said they are not worth more than i told you on the forecourt.

Oh, I also picked up the car today. New car name needed. Drove it back on the stupid A40, and then M25 for a light hooning. Was quite delightful. Only done two journeys today so too early to know all is okay. But am feeling alright and thanks for the advice guys 
My "sensible car" is the 2.2 civic . There is not a lot that will give you the same performance with the same fuel economy (for the money) although it isn't particularly exciting to drive
On the clutch - mine started slipping at 45k and 6 years old .Honda replaced it FOC after I rang Honda UK and explained how disappointed I was that a car with Honda's legendary reliability should have such a major (and well documented) failure at such low mileage .
As with BMW and a lot of the known faults on the Z4 ,Honda will not acknowledge that there is a problem although they have upgraded the clutch 3 times to try and cure the problem

As i said few people are buying the 2.2 anymore - they are just not popular with a plunge in the prices seen the last couple of weeks.
Attached is an example today which sold lower than the asking price.
This car was in great condition.
Although its slighlty higher mileage than yours its only 14k miles which in the scheme of things only makes 200-300 pounds.
Is that print out for people in the business? As in wholesale price, or whatever it's called?

The on-board computer said that the average mpg home today was about 47mpg with traffic and mixed roads so I'm please so far! It's been fun-ish to drive, has some beans you know!! How long have you had yours?

As i tried to explain on the first page, they are very good cars though they heavily understeer with a penchant for cluthces solved partially post 2007 by a mod in the flywheel and post 09 by another mod.

Sometimes lack of demand drives the trade prices down.
Theory of supply and demand in this case supply is always ample with demand rock bottom hence the trade prices are not in parallel with the retail prices.
Also kindly try demisting your cabin (Air con check) as that is another thing which is problematic.

In that time the clutch has gone (as in previous post).
The battery went flat and lost the memory from the ECU requiring a tow to the dealer to be reprogrammed. Apparently now sorted with a software update
The aircon failed which was a £15 relay and is a common fault (updated part now) .The dealer wanted £20 labour to fit the relay but when I said I would do it myself the mechanic just fitted it FOC
I was going to get it remapped when I got it but after reading about the weak clutch decided against it .
You can get them to out perform the type R but keep the fuel economy with a Celtic tuning map but need a modified clutch fitting to take the torque
