Hmmm... dog on the way... what to do...

ok, so a change in family life has presented itself... we have a dog on the way.

...which has prompted me into a 'do I consider a car change' mindset. While we do have another car in the household, two practical cars would be useful if one of them is already in use and the dog needs to come with us in the Z, which isn't ideal as there's nowhere to put it!

Hmm, to work around a 2 seater or to finally use this as a good excuse to get me into that 5 series tourer...

The dog is just days old so I've time to mull this over...

TBH, even with shiny new wheels etc... the shine of the Z is wearing off now.. its been nearly 3 years of ownership and while its a stunning car, I've had my fun and I can't keep off the AUC website looking for a 5 series of the right spec... I'm trying to convince myself to keep the Z, but the force is strong to move on and back to more comfort, not caring about potholes (so much), better practicality, while keeping some looks, prestige and toys.

If you look in the right lower corner you can see her mother. A miniature schnauzer.

I had one for twelve years, called Emily. She passed away two years ago in April and I've finally had the push to get another after what was a heart breaking loss.

This was Emily;

Emily looks like a loyal companion. Always difficult to lose a pet we lost a cat last year. The new addition looks so cute.

In similar position and we don't have second car. Our dog loves the z4 he has a seat cover and harness. More difficult when wife is with us but he sits on her knee or in footwell. But we haven't done a long trip yet. Am a bit worried that him sitting in her knee is unsafe.

No doubt a good dog is worth its weight in gold , great pleasure & very little hassle . life without our border terrier would be tedious :(
Always needed & had a decent family motor & doubt i could live with a Z as the only car .
If i had to be honest the C class sport estate is the one , they look great , drive great & hold their money .
can see our 330d being exchanged for one very soon :wink:
