Hello ... and welcome back :)

Welcome back JE! Been off the forum for a few months myself due to work commitments and it was a nice surprise to see you back when I logged in today!

I've just seen this. Glad to see you back and glad you've got your car back. People did fear the worst at points.

Hopefully you'll have it back to its former glory in no time.

Why the delay in getting it roadworthy again ?
Is there huge amount of work to be be done?

Yes a bit, it has no exhaust apart from manifold and some minor engine bay parts to be bolted back on. Having both front wings sprayed due to stone chips so whole front end all fresh with new M bumper and bonnet, full service due and MOT, this all takes 3-4 weeks if no issues that I havnt foreseen.

Is there any chance that it could have been sabotaged in any way ?
Ie. The fuel or oils in the engine, gearbox or diff?
I only ask as I had a deal that went sour many years ago and when I collected my car it ran like a bag of spanners - the fella had wound the distributor way back !
I didn't ever find anything else but it made me very wary.

Welcome back JE - the place hasn't been the same without you :D

Great to read the enthusiasm back again in your posts and I hope the stress and upset of the last months get left behind as soon as possible.

Looking forward to seeing the photos posted up when she's all back on the road.

No major parts have been removed only minor but still need money to put right, and those parts have been off within the first week, only the exhaust was the major part and I wanted to replace that anyway for a better flowing one.
Plus due to the time the car has been stationary a full inspection is to be completed so all fluids replaced including new plugs and battery.
So, basically, Phil took the 'zorst off and then did the square root of f-all to it for 9 months - pleased you got it back in one piece and you're probably lucky he didn't try to do more or you'd never get it running again....
