What ho Zedders…
I have a very unhealthy like for MK2 MR2’s, had about 10 of them, I have one waiting for a full restoration, but then this one turned up a month or so ago, it’s the level of MR2 I’ve been looking for for roughly 15yrs. Rev 5 red T bar, UK car with air con, 55k miles, last owner has had it since 6 months old, always garaged, it’s absolutely mint, pretty much flawless, the underneath is rough as it’s all original, shocks, springs etc, but that’s no issue. The usual rust issues with these cars are the sills, door bottoms, rear arches and suspension turrets, non of that here. By standards days they’re pretty slow and noisy, but 7.2 to 60 is fine, and the fact you can rev them out hard without doing silly speeds is a nice change. They’re pretty pointy on the front end which I like, very sharp turn in. I’m absolutely made up with it, I’ll concours it underneath and never sell it, everything else would go first before this, it’s a rare car indeed in this condition with the air con too. I guess it’s just one of those things, if something floats your boat then there’s not much you can do..!
