Help with offsets

Evening guys. I’m trying to figure out some options for my 2.0i. Currently I’m on 19” rims with run flats which I detest. Ideally I’d like to lose the 19s and go to 18s but with a good strong offset and normal tyres.

Fronts are 225/35/19
Rears are 255/30/19

What I can’t figure out is the offset. I’m looking for an ET number but the nearest number that looks right is an IS number. Can anyone identify from these pics what the offsets are? Also I can make out that the fronts are 8” wide but can’t make out if the rears are maybe 9”. They fill the arches quite well but I’d like to go a little bit more aggressive. Any feedback much appreciated

Yes, BMW call it "IS" on their wheels but most others call it "ET".

I had a set of E89 staggered 18" 295s on my E86 that I just sold and they were 8J ET29 fronts and 8.5J ET40 rears, so very similar to what you have. But on an E86 they really sat well out in the arches.

When you say a bit more aggressive I'm assuming you want them to sit further out, so you need to look for ET/IS numbers lower than what you have, or think about fitting spacers to get the same effect.

Yes, when I say more aggressive I mean a lower IS number and I don’t like spacers after a bad experience on my GTR

Your wheels above are style 326 so the numbers are
Front 8j et 29
Rear 9j et 40

If you're planning to go aftermarket to get a more aggressive stance then most 19s will be 8.5j & 9.5j.
As a general guide with E89s following those widths then ideally aim for offset of 35 both front & rear.

Thanks mate. But I’m really looking for 18s to be honest. Wouldn’t an offset of 35 on the front be less aggressive than I already have?

Not if the width is up to 8.5j & generally speaking the stock offset of the front isn't that bad anyway
Rears you need to be wary of the way the inner arch lip/liner protrudes as it's easy to think you can widen the stance substantially but you soon get rub

Cheers guys. So what’s the view on the Bola B15 at 8.5” all round with ET35 offset and 255 on the rear and 225 section on the front?
