Help! Top mount just died

Recently refreshed suspension all round with Bilstein B4s and Suplex springs - for an e86 3.0si MSport

I got lemforder topmount all round and the OSR has given up, only been on the car 2 months! And all driving is just b roads and very casual cruising, not ushing it.

Could get lemforder for rear exactly but was given the equivalent part no for an e46 3 series by a helpful forumer.

Whay do we think bad item?
Bad brand?
Should have got exact Z4 part?
Bmw part only for this?
Tougher upgrade?

Where did you get it from? Maybe fake parts?

Meyle HD is an upgrade option, may squeak/creak/rattle.

Got it from Autodoc along with practically everything else.

Won't be tooled up for a while but can just pry the boot liner away enough to see that the entire rubber middle has popped out

Did you take the old metal cup off the old one and place on the new one?

I made that mistake and it does pull through if it’s missing the metal cup?

Aaaargh motherf***** missed that entirely, must have been stuck up in the old mount definitely never saw that piece, remember part 11 at least.

I had a total brain fart and luckily mine popped as I was tightening it

Not sure if you can recover your top mount? Or whether you need both sides, but I just picked up a genuine pair of Lemforder mounts from this bloke on Ebay. Quick delivery and excellent service.

Smack bang in the middle of Norfolk! And kind of stuck here as we have a litter of puppies we can't really leave alone for long.
Ironically I grew up in Littlehampton and my Dad still lives there, but no plans to head that way this side of Xmas.
The Ebay bloke is showing delivery in about 2 weeks, but mine were quicker and if you contacted him, maybe quicker than that too? Showing as London?
