Hi all,

I have just been out to fit my new gap tech RCH+ module but i ran into a few issues which I'm hoping you guys can help me with!

The main issue i am having is finding the correct wire colours on the white connector (Image 2), the instructions say i should have a Red, Black and Yellow connector but on the connector i think it's referring two i don't have those colour wires! Is this the right white connector or should i be using the other connector (image 4).

Also what are the spare wires that i have (image 3) & (image 4) or should these wires be part of the white connector on Image 2?

Any help would be great

Sorry for the confusing post!

Thanks

Ash

I'm guessing the extra wires were from a blue tooth kit.

I've fitted a Reinhold module so can't comment on the wires. Although they can be hard to identify especially if you are colour blind like I am.

Red on the Gaptech goes to the red black (middle wire in white connector ) photo 2, when you strip the tape back the wire has yellow bands around it.

The plugs and wires from pics 3&4 are from an old Nokia phone kit so you could possibly take them out.

You look like you have extra wires .....

Images 1 & 2 are the only connectors you need!

Image 3 & 4 looks like someone has been playing with your z'd (unknown wires & fuses) ignore them!

Thanks for the replies guys, I think i got confused and assumed I had to splice all 3 wires instead of just the one wire

Ill have another go next weekend :)

Thanks

Ash

Just noticed i am now as senior member too :D

Use the diagram supplied with the gaptech to identify which of the 3 plugs, that you removed from the ashtray holder, the colour wire you are looking for goes to, that narrows things down. From memory, on the wires with 3 colours the yellow is just a small band every cm or so, as has been said.
