HELP!! E89 Park Sensor - Help I'm stuck in France!!

Zed Baron - Sorry to hear of your Z4 woes but good news for me in that at least I know the method works in reality. Locksmith is still looking like the front runner so far.
Thanks mate

Because I think you need a bit of cheering up, remember it could be worse. It could have happened on the Eurotunnel!
Then they'd have fork lifted it out or left you shuttling back and forwards ad infinitum.

Thanks enuff_zed. I am also trying to think of the positives.
Chippie, I've removed one of the grill covers to see if I can find one of the latches but are you sure they are accessible??
Is this rubber grommit the latch in question? Because I can't find anything else accessible under the grill. I don't think it is this as it doesn't even feel like it's budging a millimeter??

Are you looking at both sides next to the headlights, the mechanism should be visible set back about 20cm

Hi Steve,
I missed your story yesterday and unfortunately only read it now.

What I can support you is with
- detailled knowledge of the E89 system
- a working EMF module as spare part
- all the tools to get into the boot
- all the tools to fix just about any EMF problem
- all the tools to fix just about any roof issue

There is a certain distance between us that would take some time to overcome. But it wouldn't be impossible to meet within the next 24 hours

Nice one Robbi :happyclap:

With the grills removed you should be able to access the two catches at either side, ...

Feedback from the German ZRoadster forum:
This seems NOT to be possible on our Z4 E89.

I'm not sure, if they can support you. A mobile BMW service mobile might be a better solution.

Hi UK guys,

please post an UK BMW service mobile phone number.
Generally they are able to connect and coordinate support from UK even in other countries! But this kind of support has to be initiated from the home country.

BMW Road side assistance is:
020 8686 2444 if calling from within Continental Europe.

It reads as if this is for vehicles with a warranty though, not sure if this is the number you meant Robbi
