Hi,

I feel like somewhat of a fraud as I don't have my Zed yet, but I'm in the process of buying one I promise! It's a 2005 3.0 se automatic, metallic black with black leather interior with a long list of options installed. My husband and I test drove it over the weekend and absoultely LOVED it! I'm now waiting for the finance to go through - should know something either way today.

I'm really excited! I've always wanted a convertible, ever since riding in my Dad's little '56 Trimph TR3 as a kid. He's always been a bit of a motorhead and for my first car he bought me a '80 Pontiac Firebird, which I was soooo in love with (I'm from the states originally, by the way!). The Firebird wasn't fast by any means, but I loved how it drove and looked. When I finally had to sell the Firebird, I drove a boring Ford Contour (similar to a Fiesta or Focus) before moving to the UK and driving a Focus. Don't get me wrong, the Fords were dependable and got me through university, etc., but I never took pride in them like I did with the old Firebird....they never excited me or made me want to drive them.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and share my excitement with some like-minded people! I'll let you know what happens if you like.

lol, ok I'll see if I can figure out how to post photos. I'll share a pic of the Zed as soon as I'm 100% sure it's mine.

Hiya,

That's just a photo of a 1980 Firebird from the internet that looks identical to my old one. I didn't mean for it to be in my signature.....it's just a tiny photo. lol. Unfortunately I don't have any digital photos of my old car - that's the trouble with being so freaking old! :)

Hi and welcome from Scarborough - a good drive through Helmsley and rthe moors to sunny scarborough to give your new zed a try (weather dependent of course). I'm sure you have given the new Zed a thorough check over but if in doubt theres a check list link in my signature. Certainlt worth the 30 mins just to run through and give you peace of mind.
