Headlights

I recently got water into my driver side headlights, I opened the cover on a hot day to let the water escape. A few days later there was water again and shortly after that my Xeon bulb stopped working. Bought two replacements, they both work on the passenger side but not the driver side so i concluded that the High voltage capacitor at the lamp is most likely damaged. So i bought one of them and it is underway from the UK. Does anyone know how to take the entire light assembly out of the Z4? [2003 Z4] I want to make sure that the whatever let water into the headlight in the first place is fixed, and that any additional h2o is surely removed. At the first look it seem that i will have to take off the entire driver fender and my front OEM body kit. Has anyone ever take out the front light assembly? Is there a guide to this and am i right to assume that it takes all that work to remove it?

Thank you

Ok guys here is an update, i really need some help now. Its not the xenon bulb nor the high voltage power supply. I just checked the fuse box but it seems that there is only one fuse for the right AND left side for lights. Since the right (passenger) low beam lights are working i don't think its a fuse problem. If i am wrong about this please let me know! I did check fuse 14 which i think is for the headlights. Does anyone have any idea what else could be wrong on my head lights??????? I will measure the cable output to the high voltage converter if power is delivered. BTW i called BTW, a new front headlight assembly runs at 900$ and installation is for 200$; so i am guessing the fender does not have to be removed to remove the entire front head light assembly since $200 might not cover the man hours.

ANYONE have ANY IDEA please post it!! At this point ill take the suggestion to put tee-candle replacements into my head lights [almost].

Take the whole bumper cover off to give access to the 4 bolts than mount the headlight. Take a careful note of the ecxact position for when you replace it.

Unlikely to be a fuse but you need to check through the ballast, connectors and even the LCM. The ballast is mounted on the underside of the light and given what you say that woudl be my first suspect.
