Seem to be my day for it...
Really P*ssed off.
This morning my wipers start acting up. it was raining hard so I switched the wipers on to pos 1 they worked for about 20 seconds then stopped right across the screen no other position worked just dead. They started working again if I turned the ignition key to position zero (i.e. steering lock key out) but only for approx 20 secs. I did some testing at the side of the road and the intermittent sensor wipe would go constantly even if it wasn't raining that hard. Also one the wipers were on I couldn't switch them off until they failed. I'd noticed a few times recently that the wipers didn't always return to the correct home (resting) position, sometimes sitting a few inches above normal.
It gets worst from here....
So I go to work and had a bad day, I left about 19:30 and noticed the OSR tyre was flat, puncture just what I need, hurrah for run flats as the local garage isn't far. So I drive off and forgetting the wiper issue from the morning switch them on, strange thing is they worked OK?? Anyway I get to the garage and pump up the tyre to get me home. Once the tyre was up I felt around it to see if I could find the entry point, oh yes I found it OK a 1/2" bolt head (the type Frankenstein would be proud of) sticking out of the tyre smack band in the middle. I took it steady on the way home so as not to heat it up too much. Anyone know if I can get a RFT repaired? Cheapest new I can find is £180.

So I get home and check the tyre for the size, etc and find I have something mixed up. Here's how the previous owner had the tyres (must admit I never checked
)
Front Rear
NSF: 225/40/18 NSR: 255/40/18
OSF: 255/35/18 OSR: 225/35/18
Hmmm......
It gets worst from here....
So p*ssed off and skint I open the door to my house and find a speeding fine (NIP) on the door mat 39MPH in a 30 zone, perfect end to a perfect day.
If anyone has any comments or advice I'd love to hear.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers
