Have you seen anyone driving new Z4 since launch?

It had the roof down. He put it up to show me it working and then back down. Shots are of it just with it up which is of course criminal in this weather.

No worries on the car re offending. I would have specced bigger wheels, not red and not cream interior and probably a bigger engine. Had it been a grey with red interior and 294's (sort of 108 derivative) I would have been sick as a pig. Still he has one and I don't !!

There are about 10 new Z4 on autotrader website, and they have not been sold over almost one month now. Is the new Z4 really not that popular? Or are the used prices too high?

Saw my first one parked the other day, white one near Chalkwell in Essex, think it was a Sdrive 23 as it only had the two left hand exhausts.

Have yet to see a moving one....

I saw one parked at the mall the other day. White. Lovely. And it had a vanity plate that could have been phonetically interpreted one of two ways...

"For the girl." Or, more likely, "Florida girl."

Oddly, this past week I've had three people ask me what year my coupe is. When I tell them it's a 2007, they seem stunned. Last night a fellow was certain it was a 2009. "Sure looks like a one of them new 2009 ones" he said. Ten minutes later, another guy pulled up next to me and said the same thing. I'm guessing that since most folks rarely see late model coupes (the roadsters are aplenty), most see the hard shell and assume it's the new hardtop convertible.

Just saw my second one... Even in today's economic climate, Richmond apparently has some folks with too much spare change. It actually looked like a 2009 version of my combo (black w/ red leather interior). I came up on it and waved a "thumbs up" to the driver while passing, but was snubbed... I guess my old 2007 coupe isn't worthy to share the road with the new version. :?

Gotta say, though, that it looked sharp in my reward mirror.

Seen two on the road to the West of London (probably owned by people in Richmond). They look great but have little to do with the original Z4 - they should have been given a new name - Z5, Z6 whatever fits BWMs naming policy

I saw a guy in the same industrial park that I work in the other day getting into a dark grey one, he was having problems opening the boot - I think he hadn't unlocked the doors first - he got there in the end though...

I have not seen another new Z4 since I spotted one 1 month ago. I also only saw very very few 1-series coupe since it was lauched 2 years ago. Most 1-series on the road are 5-door hatchback.

Followed by one through the Birmingham tunnels today. All white and very tasty it looked too

Alpine White and Black Sapphire are the most popular colours. There are over 20 used new Z4 on autotrader, 8 are Alpine White, and 6 are Black Sapphire. Those cars have been available almost 1 month now, still have not been sold.

ksher, just had a look, surprised at how many are for sale now.

But only 1 has Adaptive M Sport Suspension (35i), and I don't think many used Z4 in the future will have it. :(

That's a shame. I wonder if that means new purchasers don't understand it or are too keen on speccing other items and run out of budget

they have a nice presence about them and look bigger than they actually are. i want one!

Adaptive M Sport Suspension is an expensive option. Most buyers (from SLK) may probably prefer softer ride.

Had you driven your friend's 23i, CJ? We're waiting for your review on a basic 23i with standard suspension.

I wish I had but we just keep meeting up in the Gym but not being around at departure time together.

But you can have a couple of teaser shots of new meets not so new :)
