Good news, car is now code 160, handover to sales, delivery week commencing 15th November, unless something else goes wrong! Currently two months behind the original delivery date and five months in total

Wooohooo!!!!! That’s brilliant news. Really happy to hear that.
Mine is a week earlier in theory. We shall see though!

Still same code. Released to carrier delivery to dealer week of the 8th. Been same code for a week so hopefully change over weekend.
No idea what shift patterns they work at factory.
So we will have to wait before we can exchange nudes.

Guys, I take it the G29 is not supplied with a jack? Mentions it in the manual, but I can't find one in the car.
Still considering winter alloys and tyres, just checked and my trolley jack does not go under the car. Of course.

No jack just a bottle of gunk and compressor. I have a small bottle jack in the boot. I’ll measure it and get back to you.

Re the trolley jack, I had to get a low profile one. I got a Halfords one while it was on offer, around £40 I think

It does seem strikingly similar though I assume the Merc has a cloth top?

Wonder it it comes with a 4cylinder engine option?

V8 power only at the moment in SL55 & SL63, it’s a 2+2 configuration, 4matic and a fabric hood, later models will include a six cylinder hybrid and a range topping 830 BHP hybrid

I think that SL looks very 911 and I bet it’s super nice sitting inside.
Starting price around 100k which is a couple of hundred to expensive for me.

Reckon SARS would be very happy in that SL.
