So after two years and two months of MR ownership, it's finaly happend. Mrs G took the Z down to the gym this moring.

First time she has ever driven the car. So what do you think she sent me in a simple text message at lunch time.

One word was all. Wow! 8)

Now that made me smile. :D

Slippery slope mate :? knock it on the head right now otherwise the next text message will most likely be
"don't get mad but ive clipped the alloys on a kerb in town "

How come she didn't drive it before? Who can resist the Z?
Also she seems to have brought someone back in it..

Good question She used to drive our Fiat Coupe no problem and that wasn't a slow car.

Difference is, the Z lives in the Garage all the time, being our first soft top. The Fiat was my daily and used to live on the drive. So the Z is available more of the time, but needs to be out of the Garrage. Have tried loads of times to get her to have a go. She was meeting an old friend for lunch today, I think that finaly swung it.

She must be the only woman not sitting in the steering wheel :D

How rude, I have my seat right back as otherwise my knees would be round my chin..... ERM.... That sounded better in my head.

My oh has a 1.2 fiesta... She drove my company car (120d) for the first time last wednesday... Straight away she said wow... This is so quick... Wonder what your toy car will be like....

At that point i reminded her she isnt insured on it!

I'd nip this in the bud.... Curbed alloys and dinged doors is all you'll see otherwise!

Got to laugh at how pessimistic we all are on here - I'd quite like Mrs B to drive my car, as the OTR of fun the OP describes legitimises ownership and ensures no silly ideas about changing the car... Perhaps worth a curbed alloy or two to some :D

Have said to my wife that if she ever wants a drive of my MR to let me know. You would think I had suggested a threesome with Megan Fox from her reaction

Says she is too scared of it. She is a good driver but not enormously experienced. I guess it can be daunting sitting low down, the long bonnet and all that power......

Power doesn't mean anything. You are in control of the car not the other way round.
Give me your M's I'll look after them

Edited to say, that's a bit unfair, if you're not used to driving a powerful car it may be a bit daunting at first.
