Harly Wax, fantastic

So, I was reading/watching a bit on the chemical science of waxs/sealants....and apparently, they say that it is pointless applying more than one coat of wax, because the application of an additional coat literally removes the first coat.

Is this correct?

I’m not denying others don’t know better than me but I’ve always had much better results after layering wax.

I waxed over sealant once and the wax just couldn’t take to anything. I guess there was no key for it to grab on to.

Almost 1 year since the hype about Harly Wax.

Any updates on how well it's performed?

Mine is still in the box unopened as I'm still using the Gyeon products.

Me too. I like the fact that it is super easy on off and doesn't bother the plastics. Seems to last somewhere in between a quick detailer and a regular wax. It's usually pretty much gone in a week with a bit of rain etc.

Would I buy it again...probably not.

I did the MC, Swmbo’s A Class and my sons 1 series with this the other day, well impressed 8) only got a picture of the 1 series as I did MC in to the garage

That is one benefit of this stuff, you can do a whole car in about 30 minutes!

Yeah, I put it on top of my regular collinite wax (which only needs to go on twice a year but is hard work applying) as a top up, as mentioned it doesnt hang around long but its quick and easy to apply so if youre the type that likes to wash weekly or fortnightly and wants a quick shine its ideal

If your car is garaged and doesn't go out in the rain and is not washed too often, then Harley Wax is OK. I still use is as a quick detailer on the Zed.

However, I never use it on the Discovery and the Mini that are out in all weathers and they get Black Hole and Natty's Paste Wax, which does last well.

Overall I think that the speed of application with Harly Wax is a false saving due to it not lasting.

I agree 100% , will not buy again but OK as a quick detailer. Comes off with the next snow foam.
