I'm fairly sure buying new is no longer an option anywhere - I even dropped Webasto an email (they who made the hard top) but no joy

I know people have suggested 3D printing before, but obviously you need a file to be able to print from. If I do get my hands on a set I might see how much getting a 3D scan would be - I think it would be very difficult to 'borrow' a set given their value, plus the fact that I guess the soft lining would need to come off for the scan.

I may just go down the lolly-stick DIY route that I've seen a thread for - very inventive!

FYI - that estore place just sent me a full refund (with no explanation - seems to be the norm at the moment) so I assume they can no longer supply the front covers unfortunately.

You don't need the boot hinge stops if you have a hardtop. I never had a problem when my hardtop was fitted. Yes, the boot lid gets close to the glass, but it never touches.

I did give it a quick try actually the day I picked the hard top up - at vertical, it is literally 1 to 2mm away but the slightest push makes it touch the glass. So if I absent mindedly open the boot too hard I think it would hit it with some force - better safe than sorry anyway I think.
