This forum has been good to me so you guys have first shot at this before it goes on ebay for a lot more...

Picked this up on a trip down south yesterday. Its in very good conditions just touched up on the usual corners as pictured. Comes with hard top cover and a foldable stand which folds and tucks away into the bag provided. Also has the Key, the fabric covers (all 3) and books etc.

I will take £750 cash on collection, you can just bring your Z stick it on and drive away... Otherwise I will just wait a few weeks and stick it on ebay for £850-£900. The fabric covers, stand and hardtop cover are worth £150 alone.

Excuse the raindrops as it just started to rain as i was taking it off...

I'm confused - you picked this up from down south to sell on? If this is the case then why not have given the guys on here a heads up that it was for sale if the forum has been good to you? I'd also have a quick read up on the forum rules under profiteering.

Apologies in advance if I've read and interpreted your post wrongly.

I picked it up as i was going to a classic car auction and was offered it through someone, means it pays for my petrol for the trip down...
Unfortunately at £750 it pays for my day out...

I actually had contacted a forum member for him to meet me after but his circumstances didnt allow so its here for sale at what is in my opinion a cheap price and not for "profiteering"

Maybe you shouldnt be so quick to assume?

If you read the rules correctly you can include postage and packaging charges... (petrol in this case)
Thank you for your concern though...

p.s. You know what they say about assumptions....

At first I was a bit dubious about you buying this to sell on, but the price is cheap compared to ebay and obviously the new price, so whats the big deal?

If people never made a profit on anything, the world as we know it would cease to exist.

I bet you write to petrol stations asking for refunds.

I have just bought it, its a great price and certainly saved me both the cost of driving down south and the time, to pick it up. Doesn't match the colour of my car, but I can sort that out, anybody recommend a good paint shop in the Blackpool area??

That's not a bad idea Stuart, there is a place at Chorley who do a good job, might even consider a carbon fibre job on it

When i was driving back as it got dark it looked like the M3 Carbon Black colour and I must say it actually suited the car so yes a wrap could work well...

Great deal, well done OP.

Love the idea of one, but know on a dry sunny winter day I'd get so frustrated with myself

I know what you mean! However it only takes 2 minutes to take it off then put it back on when you get home

Hi guys, for what its worth I was the person who he offered it to 1st, i have already bought a bunch of bits off of him from the Z he was breaking, good price and plenty of communication back and forth (hence the reason he knew i was after a hard top and tried his hardest to help me out by even offering to drive miles out of his way on his return trip to meet me) but sadly due to a family illness i wasn't able to meet him as was at hospital. the price he sold it for is pretty good considering the current market value only looking like increasing further as autumn looms. shame the timing and available funds wasn't better as i would have happily taken this off his hands.
