Handbrake starts = Hazard Warnings

I've had my Zed now for 3months and when moving off from static, releasing the Handbrake, I am inadvertently activating the Hazard warning lights. Is it an ergonomically bad design to put the switch there or am I missing something?
P. S. I haven't got sausage fingers. :scratchhead:

Maybe it's why BMW added Hill Start Assist.

Done it once or twice, you soon adapt :)

I never use my handbrake except for when i park up :?

Ditto

I actually use my index finger now to press the button so that my hand is over the top of the handbrake so as to avoid hitting the hazard button with my knuckles.

I've also had to adopt a different method of turning on the lights, coming up from underneath the switch as per normal the steering wheel + stalk are in the way, so I go in over the top, a little cack handed but hey-ho.

I'm not as flexible as I used to be :(

Something else I did at first was kept hitting the stalk for full beam instead of nuding the cruise up or down
