And at shell prices too? Must be rich as well as stupid. BTW - what was he driving? Bet it wasn't a McLaren despite the trendy trousers....

I had to drive down to just 12 on the range (so about 30 miles with the light on) for the same reasons.

If I hadnt had to go looking for a station I wouldnt have gone home the way I did and probably wouldnt have hit the curb destroying my alloys

Saddos! I went for a bim in the country to get some fuel yesterday - town is all sold out! Ironically, the garage I filled up in had a thumping great tanker in it delivering some fuel.

At least the higher octane stuff is more readily available than regular

Was driving an X5 3.0 petrol I think.

As if the X5 tank doesn't hold enough...

You've got tp put the blame for all of this on Cammeron, if he'd kept his gob closed this would not have happened until any strike was confirmed. :poke:

I've done 1000 miles over the last week (including a nice run over the Yorkshire moors & dales on the way home from Barnard Castle last night) and haven't had to queue anywhere.

Although 2 of the 3 garages I stopped at had no diesel :P

When the strikes happen, I will have no sympathy if you run out of fuel. Or get stuck queueing :P

The cut price lemming mentality demonstrated by sections of the great British public makes me want to weep.
Why cant people use just a little common sense and not be so selfish. Its really not rocket science and unfortunately reminds me that there are a lot of proper idiots out there.

Only super unleaded in any of the garages around me.

Thank goodness Nick's run last week was only 30 miles so I have a 3 quarter tank left

Ironic that the ones who hoard like himoften use the least fuel as it's just leisure driving.

Maybe I just take a different overall view of this. With everyone having a full tank by the time there is any strike and every garage fully replenished, it will be much diluted action as it will take much longer on strike for real shortages to take effect.

If there is a real strike it'll be over before it has any effect....

Bit late for this as the furor dies down, but save it for next month :D

The trousers, the hat, the good quality jerry cans and the fact they are filling them with v-power on a saturday morning suggests someone planning some motorsport to me. I wouldn't jump to conculsions.

Didn't have an issue when we had the last couple of tanker driver strikes/blockades either - althought the car at the time had a 90l tank, so didn't have to stop as often.

It's the e60 M5 drivers I feel sorry for as they have to stop to refuel about once an our :P

Discussing this with my neighbour yesterday, it was all a roose to take our eye off how badly we have been shafted in the budget, worth thinking about :poke:
