Discussing this with my neighbour yesterday, it was all a roose to take our eye off how badly we have been shafted in the budget, worth thinking about :poke:

Yeah, hike fuel duty by 3p then tell everyone to stock up on petrol 'cos the big bad tanker drivers are going on strike :x

Nice little income earner for the govt, think of all the extra VAT, fuel duty etc etc they've made over the last week or so :fuelfire:

I filled up with 25 litres of diesel this morning. No queues, no waiting, no fuss.

I sometimes wonder about the British public.

same here - went to the dump, on the way back stopped off and filled up the Saab with diesel. No-one else refuelling; no queues, no fuss. Apparently its been quiet all day - probably because everyone now has full tanks/garages/sheds and no money

Still nothing around here, all the "no fuel" signs around the garages.

Would have preferred the strike over Easter as I am abroad then

I need to fill up my VW Golf tomorrow. It will have less than 1/4 tank of diesel left after driving 78 miles to work. Do most petrol stations on motorway also have no fuel left?

Ended up coasting into Beaconsfield on the ---- this evening after blind optimism and laziness hoping to get back to London from Derby on one tank only to find a sign saying no petrol only diesel. Thankfully I checked one of the pumps and happily put 51 litres in. Was quite pleased at 335 miles on a tank for the 3.0 with some spirited country driving and progressive motorway work.
