If a vehicle is stolen and then recovered, even without ANY damage, it is recorded on HPI. If a vehicle is subject to accident damage and is subject to a corresponding insurance claim, then it IS recorded. Otherwise, what is the point of operating a HPI checking system and expecting the public to pay for a service that doesn't operate correctly and fairly? The damage to the vehicle is well over £1000 and even more if a BMW dealership rectifies it. You my friend are talking crap. Why do you think that so many people who have minor bumps and scrapes choose to settle at the roadside and not involve insurance companies? It's because, even if you are NOT at fault, it is logged that you have been involved in an accident, you are required by insurance law to disclose that fact, and your premium WILL rise upon renewal. Think about it; would you prefer prior knowledge that a vehicle has had side impact damage and been subject to an insurance claim before you make an informed decision of whether to purchase? I certainly would! You get your YOUR to bed!!!!
Brilliant!
