GUTTED! *AGAIN*

Nice Dude!

Prefer the old style Z4 tbh, can't seem to like the new, too bulky not raw enough.

This looks cool though, Grrrrr lol

Congrats.... i really like the new Z4 now... which i never did at first.... the E85 looks a little small and weak by comparison to them :(

Looks dead smart with the 296 style alloys too.

Well done!

(isn't it just a great feeling when you're just a few days away and the deal has been done 8) )

- just enough time to buy new buckets/sponges/cloths/sunglasses/ etc etc .

You'll love it mate - I had a 50 mile journey home when I went to pick up mine, and I loved the drive back. The 35i just has so much power and the sound of the beast is just amazing.

be careful with the marks the seat belt will make on the top of the seat, near your shoulder - and thats about the only thing to watch out for. I used a litre of oil for the first 3000 miles - but also before you pick it up, go thru the vehicle diagnostic to check the miles left until brakes need replacing etc...

You will love the music hard drive to save your CD's and memory stick music to, and the DCT is superb too...

Stone chips are a problem, so get a touch up stick super quick too....and thats it!!!

The Beast is home.. Utterly fabulous.. Even found out the nav Plays movies, how fab.

Still working thru the toys, but loving the power!

Only gripe so far is that the rear screen doesn't seem to clear.. Had it on for several minutes but no sign of the lines clearing the rear window. May have a look at the fuses in the daylight..

Otherwise, wow. Now back to the car, and the worry it might get nicked!! :-/

The heated rear screen should work instantly. You need to buy shortfall insurance just in case it gets nicked.

Yeah gonna check the fuses tomorrow. It's under warranty so I'm not concerned.

Shortfall insurance already purchased. :).

Fab fab fab.. It's just, well... Fab!!

Mate how do you get the nav to play movies? It has a viewer on the Internet option but not sure what you mean about movies....

I'll get the pics sorted once the weather improves... at the moment, it's mostly covered in snow! :) That rear screen not working is irritating, just when I need it, so I'll try and get it into BMW to sort asap as this weather+no light in the evenings makes access to the fuses annoying. Other than that tho, its a stunner. Nearly poo'd myself driving into work, there's a ramp and the tail kicked out as I turned in, even at 10mph! Weather=Grrr.

Heard back from the dealership, they're saying it was an engine management issue, software being updated to fix it. No detail on what that meant.

Sorry to say that I had the same issues with my wife's 325 - went back twice and , 'Engine management issues Sir, software update will fix.' Which it did for a couple of months. Third ocassion prompted me to have a good search around the websites and found numerous reports, mostly from the US, on issues with the HPFP. New one produced by BMW under a different part number, but no general recall, although this is now the subject of a 'Class' legal action by owners in the US. Gave the 'new' part number to my local dealer who duly replaced. Drives like a new car now - problems must have been slowly progressive so not that noiticeable over time (well by Mrs J anyway). So if it's an issue for you again go for the new fuel pump option.

On the engine issue, I did press them when I took the car out for a second test drive and they confirmed they'd replaced the HPFP with the latest version. All good.. gave it some stick on the motorway, not a blip. Also seems to idle smoother, but that could just be my imagination.

Plays DVD movies. Only sound when moving though!
Are you playing your DVD movies thru the cd slot?

Never heard that these work before.....tell me more!! Anyone else tried this?

Yes, fire up the idrive, pop in a DVD and it plays on screen. Usual DVD menus, zoom functions, scene selection etc.. All quite neat, tho as pointed out, only while stationary.
