Welcome to the Forum adnb - a post in the Newbie section with a few details about your Zed etc.

thanks for the info on setting up.. took a little time and backache/neckache sorting the pigging pictures to make 'em fit.. but got there in the end.. I think..... :|

I am new to this forum, but not new to forums at all.

Unable to input my avatar.

Have dragged and dropped sp3ctre's avatar onto my 'puter and yet its larger than the one I'm trying to hoist.........and I keep getting warnings that it's too large.....??

Any assistance gratefully received - have sent pm, but no response.

Thank you.

Your avatar has to be......
Maximum dimensions; width: 120 pixels, height: 120 pixels, file size: 11.86 KiB.

Carol - thanks.

However, this is sp3ctre's avatar size:

sp3ctres.png

Then, when I do mine just slightly smaller:

Picture5.png

I get this come up:

Picture4-3.png

So, maybe I'm doing something gobsmackingly simply wrong........but what..?!

..

Just make it a tiny bit smaller. It's the .86 that's the problem by the looks of it. When I did mine it had to be spot on for the size.
Sp3ctre is our boss so he may have worked some magic!

...........no, didn't work :?

I know what it is.......you just don't want me on the forum :(

No worries! mebbe boss-man can assist when he's next around

Thanks for trying to help

WIGS-P, file size is apparently too large and exceeding 11 KIB....

If you want to send me the file I can reduce the file size to our requirements.

Send the file to [email protected]

The dimensions are not the only thing that controls file size.

When you save a JPG from Photoshop you have options to change the quality. The lower the quality, the smaller the file. Try saving it as high rather than max, or medium rather than high.

The other trick is to go into your preferences and disable 'save preview' and 'preview thumbnail' - as these both add to the file size - and sometimes the 'preview' can be larger than the image itself.

I find the easiest way to get any picture down to a specific size, is to use the 'save for web' function as it lets you play with quality/sizes before you save the file.

Hi Guy's... it's been a wrench but finally had to give up my beautiful Z4 S drive... so sad now :( :( :( . However, just realised I still have it's storm cover for it which was at the back of my garage. If anyone is interested in it, it really is a good one (very expensive) - let me know.

It will help your sale if you add it to the classified section instead of here.

Hello, my apologies I don’t wish to upset anyone by just sticking out an ad. Therefore, on this site is there a specified area for selling? I have a very relevant number plate for sale which may create some interest - URZ4. Can anyone advise please?

Go to the BOARD INDEX top left, scroll down & there is a BUY & SELL section in there.

Start a new topic and best of luck
