I just spoke to Vines Gatwick, they quoted me £240 just for an oil service.

Does anyone else live round the Crawley/Gatwick area that can recommend somewhere cheaper? I initially wanted to keep the main dealer history on the car, but if they're going to charge me that much just for an oil change, I'd rather use a specialist!!

I just got my 3.0i oil serviced and brake fluid changed + valet + free 1.0L tub of castrol oil for £219 all in.

I was pretty impressed with that.

I am sure an independent specialist could beat it though, I may look elsewhere for furture work.

I had mine done at Knights in Stafford. I could probably have got a little bit more off if I had really tried. I should mention though, that I got the +4 or the +6 year discount. Initially they gave me 10% for that, but I asked for 20% and they agreed.

I did also try Benham WIlverhampton, but the best they could do was about £250.

supply your own oil and you could probably knock £40 > £50 off those prices.

Anyone living in the London area would be wise to add £50 to the quoted prices (in my M experience). The idea of servicing every 2 years is a wild dream for me. I kind of miss my Audi's longlife service intervals!

Mine is bang on 1 year from the last but I guess it depends how you treat your motor :driving:

PS bringing your own oil is an easy save

What do Inspections 1 and 2 consist of, is it possible to do them yourself?
