GruppeM and strutty fitted....

Picked these tasty bits up from Truth last weekend, taken off his silly clean M coupe, that’s going to be one happy new owner when he comes to sell, it’s in incredible condition. Popped them in the other day. Bit of a double edged sword tbh, on the one hand the comical novelty factor is right up there....downside being the environment and my fuel costs are taking a brutal hammering.....

Truth, I nearly choked on my coffee after reading your post.

Now I can't unsee the Ws!

I’ll check but there are tiny lugs on the caps and cut outs on the strut rings for them to slot into so they only fit one way.

I have a new twin. Looking good a John

What do you think of the noise it now makes John, Gruppe M induction is one of the best mods you can do I reckon!? :driving:

Funny you should ask that Muckin....I’ve gathered some tasty trinkets for this car over a few years, the GruppeM, strut brace with covers, oem CSL’s, top side covers, aero skirts (when I get my arse in gear and get them sent up here.. ) Intravee, last night I was thinking which would be the last to sell if I had to and yep, it was the GruppeM....it does make you grin doesn’t it, hilariously theatrical....!!

Having said that when the KWV3’s go on they’ll probably outdo the rest put together hopefully.... :D

Sounds like the perfect mods John! If my budget had allowed I would of gone for KW3's as well but went for the Bilstein B12's, which I'm very happy with but are probably inferior to the KW's. I do find the craze about the aero skirts a bit over the top but I do appreciate they improve the look. CSL's were on the list as well but I may be selling soon to move on to an R8.

+1 for the Gruppe... turns the beast into an angry fuel overdosing monster

[ref]Muckinonthesofa[/ref] Which R8 are you eyeing up?

If all goes according to plan a V10 manual coupe, but would consider the spyder as well. I don't want the r-tronic but if an s-tronic came up in budget I'd consider one if those as well. My ideal would be a manual V10+ but someone would have to be selling cheaply for that to be in budget I reckon. Nothing certain in the current situation though, will see how things pan out.

[ref]Muckinonthesofa[/ref] The V10 in manual would be a corker! I tried out the V8 manual and that gear change is every bit as enjoyable as people claim. It's not a quick shift, but then cars like these aren't necessarily about trying to gain milliseconds around a track :) Good luck in your hunt - there could be some wild bargains in the next month or two!

Thanks Wonkydonkey, it may be a good time to buy in the next few months! I hope a manual in the right spec and price comes up, if not maybe the s-tronic.
