Group Buy for Brakes

I'd be interested to get quotes on 325mm front Ultrax discs (for an E46 330) with matching greenstuff / redstuff pads, plus standard 3.0 Z4 rear Ultrax discs with greenstuff / redstuff pads.

Thanks

Paul

I will ask for a quote on yours but the rears should be the sanme as the others

Regarding payment the question has been asked to David, how it should go ahead, debit, paypal, cash or whatever. Those in the UK the shippinmg is £15.99 those in France are already quoted. I will pick mine up and save the shipping costs but those who live near me I can pick theirs up and you can 'suggest' a price to repatriate them :D

Hope that works for everyone, any questions please ask

Thats a really good price, I priced them up from EBC @ £488 with greenstuff pads! When are you ordering these?

What is his price on the calipers? Can be bought for about £45+del each on ebay, which just leaves carriers (no idea how much these are, maybe easier to buy new?)

Thanks, and good work! I will be buying these!

Paul

I've just spoken to David about greenstuff vs. redstuff and he suggests that anyone considering even one track visit should stay clear of greenstuff. He also recommends that with the reduced prices he would recommended going straight to yellowstuff (an extra £2.50 over redstuff) as they are both good cold and hot... I've never read up on yellowstuff so thats my job for this afternoon. Has anyone any thoughts/experiences?

Apparently some people experience problems of redstuff not being good cold, you need to warm them up first...

Personnal experience.
In the morning, when the pads are "stone cold", the first two stops in town at a red light are a bit soft. That's it. After two red lights, the pads are as warmed up as they need to be.
I hardly call that a problem.

From EBC STRONGLY recommended YellowStuff fo all our cars
Russ

really? surely it depends on the application, green stuff are rated as road driving up to 200bhp, red stuff 300bhp i think and yellow lean towards trackday use. they do a pad below the green which is supposed to be similar to the oem pad. i had no issues on oem pads hence why i bought greenstuff, and i think ill try redstuff afterwards.

REALLY - came from the technical guy and he did say that he had fitted them to his wifes A3 1.9TDi and his C200. I asked if these were track orientated and he said they had been designed that way but in actually fact performed better than red or green for street. Also I mentioned the dust and he said no more than the other two but did recognise this suggestion was against what is on the site.
I think it is a new pad and they are finding it has a lot of advantages all round

klarky said:
fair enough, wonder what the down side is? life of the pad perhaps?

Rather than the life of the pad I would look at the discs.
A few years ago (well a lot really) when pads were asbestos based discs hardly needed changing. Now it appears to be a regular thing.
Probably due to the hard formulations OEMs are using and also the natural abhorrance of dusty alloys!
Russ

Well I've been in touch with David and will be ordering front Ultimax discs and redstuff pads! I decided I didn't fancy the yellows due to the OEM amount of dust produced and similarly the greens as they wouldn't stand up to a track day.
