For anyone with an E85/E86 with a MFSW without Bluetooth for your phone who may also want to stream music there’s the Grom BT3 which uses all your existing controls.

Obtained a discount on my new one & supplier offered the same to those here

Brand new... £117 inc VAT & postage, where if more than 5 orders may take a tiny bit more off

You’ll need to check your head unit as apparently not compatible with Carver systems, but comes with prewired connectors for the CD unit with business CD

Grom do make an adaptor to work with the DSP systems, but whether these guys can supply it is a different matter I suppose. Arguably could buy direct from Grom though

Isn’t this only an issue with early DSP systems. All facelift have same connections as non DSP systems.

Suggest you call on 01202 822792 to check, though Roy may be waiting to gauge interest & if enough might propose something more.

Email reply from Roy ok

Today I need to go look/fish for the pre wired cd changer cables that are in the back somewhere

Good morning so far.

Easily found the 3 pin and 6 pin connectors tucked under the carpet at the rear.

Bonus find was an aux connector in the glove box that will do till I get the BT3.

And it’s another dry day :driving:

Hi all .... I’m going to jump on this as well . After speaking with Roy I think I’ll opt for the Bluetooth and usb . I have the single cd in dash and changer in the Center section ... Roy said you can either connect to the stereo or cd changer . Which one is the easiest to access and is one better than the other with regards sound quality?

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

.... also to note I have a coupe , if that makes any difference to accessing ect

But I’m asking how to do it

I don’t have the CD changer though I do have the pre wiring. Looking at some videos on YT it looks easy enough to run the cable(s) from front to back

I have dug the cables out of the rear ok, I’ll fit the BT in the back and route the microphone cable to the front I think.

Not sure if one way is better than the other though

Not looked yet - I think the Coupe has some additional screws
