Was looking forward to seeing the finished result on this one :(

I am hopz121, I'll lose some money on it as well given the work and time I've put into it so far.
However the Tiefgruen Green story doesn't end here. :)
I now have two and can't keep both.

That's just greedy.

The UK only got 27 Coupes in that colour!

I'm already looking forward to the next instalment.

Not a great deal yet, I've had to ignore it while I've been sorting the first one. It's an msport with lower mileage and great service history.
Given how infrequently they come to market I decided to step sideways before I invested any more money into it.

Its not the £14.5k one down south but I clocked the tan msport seats in that one for inspiration!

Tan M-Sport seats with Tiefgruen sounds fantastic!

Wow congrats! Unexpected move but then that’s the Tiefgrün style

You now own 2/3’s of the total number of green coupes in my home country… impressive

I’ve become obsessed with the number of people watching Tiefgruen No1 on eBay. Probs a tonne if you guys following  I’ve had a few offers but we just haven’t hit mutual ground yet.

Never-the-less the project and plans continue and I’ve been working on an interior idea. Saddle Tan!
I managed to pickup some very sorry sports seats and went about the challenge of restoring. A path well trod before so I didn’t take loads of pics, but after two weeks of prep the first thin base coat went on tonight.

They’ve gone from horrible > to slightly better > to horrendous. However now the base work is done they can only start looking better from here.

Started with some mouldy, wrinkled, dirty horrible things. On the plus side they are heated and electric :)

After an initial clean and rust treatment, the heat guns out to start tightening up the stretched leather.

Hole repaired, filled, sanded and masked

The first thin base coat goes down. Looks like an old tea pot! It’s make or break time!

Little clue in one of those pics for the rest of the interior :) Standby for the finished look :icb:

I love these updates, great to see you working on your seats in the living room.
You going for orange door cards?

Are you going to fit the msport seats into coupe one which is for sale?
It wasn’t the plan but I guess it depends on how they turn out

If it’s not the kids making mess it’s me
Not quite orange but colour matched to the seats. ‘Baby Poo’ colour according to @pvr!

I trust you live alone as there is no way you can do that in the lounge like that

Well done for taking on that challenge.

I just hope they look a bit better when you've finished!

Looks like a dirty protest  . Gotta a feeling the end result will be worth it. Looking forward to the update

holy crap, thoses were some piss poor looking seats, esp the rust on the sliders.. cant wait to see how these come up. :)

I can’t help myself. I’ve taken the masking off prematurely and need to spray the finish coat that’ll remove the shine and give a mid satin finish.

But here they are. Door cards and dash trim to follow.
Marmite colour.. love it or hate it?
